He says they will sometimes drive by house
multiple times a day, yelling and making obscene
gestures. Once a stranger was in the car with
them, and the stranger pointed their finger at
David and made gestures like he was shooting
him with a gun.
David also said he is repeatedly accused of
retaliating against Chris and Tim, for example
being a leader of "some kind of gang" and throw-
ing stones at their trailer and vehicles. However
he maintains he has never done anything they
have accused him off.
David is 70 and is disabled after being in an
accident years ago; he has diabetes, and he also
has mobility issues. He has a long staff with a
hook on the end which he uses to get groceries
out of his truck.
Once when he was using the staff for this pur-
pose, Chris walked by and said that was what
David used to take the aerial off his trailer. David
said had no idea what he was tallcing about. Due
to his mobility issues, he wouldn't have been
able to do that even if he wanted to.
David kept that staff in the back of his trunk; a
couple days later, that staff went missing from the
vehicle. He believed the men took it, and he
called the police. The police officer that came by
said she would go talk to them, but she was sure
they would deny it. She went over to Chris's
trailer for what David said was "30 seconds';

knocked on their door, said a few words and
drove away without returning to David's house.
David is not the only neighbour who has
experienced these issues. A petition went
around the camp calling to evict the men, and
dozens of people signed it. The park owners
tried to evict the men, but the men appealed
the eviction, and they are still at the park.
On the restraining order, David wrote "We
have been wondering why this is happening
[...] [Chris] has made threats to do bodily harm
to me, and it has gotten to the point that we
keep our doors and windows locked. I don't
like to leave my wife alone at any time." He
wrote at the end, "We have been trying to do

on"

On Wednesday morning, the red "x"s
appeared on four trailers. As mentioned, David
is disabled. Another elderly man who had an
"x" painted on his trailer is waiting for a lung
transplant. Scrubbing the paint off in the sum-
mer heat is a labour intensive job, which David
does not feel confident doing. He knows he
should use a certain chemical to take paint off
vinyl without damaging the vinyl, but he
doesn't know what that would be.
He would like to do the job for his neighbour
who is waiting for a lung transplant as well,
since that man is particularly not in a condi-
tion to do this type of work. For this reason, he
is asking any able-bodied person if they would
be willing to come to the park and help remove
the paint.
