Clinton's colourful downtown doors

Clinton News Record
Clinton's downtown is
more colourful than it was
last year at this time. A pro-
ject initiated by the Clinton
and Central Huron BIA has
been putting brightly col-
oured doors in flowerbeds
and encouraging even more
store owners store to paint
their own doors bright
colours.
"Peoples' attention is
automatically drawn," said
Marilyn Tyndall, a BIA mem-
ber and chair of the beautifi-
cation committee. "People
stop, look at the doors, and
say, 'What is going on there?'
People notice our town and
that our doors are open for
business."
Green and red doors with
wreaths and lighted Christ-
mas trees were put around

town at Christmas. They
graced Cenotaph Park and
the empty lot on Main Street.
Those drew such positive
attention that the idea is
being extended to every
season.
Check out the screen
doors where the Radar
Screen is and also right by
Partners in Paint. The com-
mittee would like to put up
more screen doors and also
put heavier doors up for
winter. If you have any you
might donate, please con-
tact Marilyn Tyndall at
