Clinton News Record, 2016-07-06, Page 2424 News Record • Wednesday, July 6, 2016 Artists wanted The Blyth Festival Art Gal- lery is looking for artists for exhibitions in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Besides the annual Community Show, an open (non-juried) show- ing of regional art work, and the Student Show (works by Huron and Perth high school art students), the Gallery mounts three special art exhibits each year. Usually three weeks in length, they may be solo, two -person or group showings on a partic- ular theme. Individual artists or groups are invited to submit a proposal to the Art Gallery for consideration for the next two seasons. Work in any media (painting, print making, pho- tography, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, etc.) is acceptable and will be selected on the basis of artistic merit. Application packages must include the artist's contact information, a current biogra- phy and CV. An artist's state- ment and exhibition concept are also required, as well as good quality images of recent work in the same style as will be represented in the show. Appli- cations may be submitted in hard copy form, digitally on a CD/DVD, or by email to arrive byluly20th. Submissions will be reviewed by the Exhibition Committee and short-listed art- ists will be interviewed in their own studio by the Committee members.
