The Huron County Clean Water Project has reached the mark of providing grants to help fund 2,000 water -quality improvement projects. This
was announced at the Huron County Water Protection Steering Committee meeting in Holmesville on April 1 where conservation authorities
made a commemorative presentation of a shovel to Huron County. From left, in honour of this achievement by the County of Huron and the

announces 2,000
project mark

tion Steering Committee,
made an historic announce-
ment at the Huron County
Water Protection Steering
Committee meeting in Hol-
mesville on Friday, April, 1,
2016. He shared with those
in attendance that the Huron
County Clean Water Project
has achieved the mark of
providing grants that have
helped to fund 2,000 water -
quality improvement pro-
jects completed by Huron
County landowners, resi-
dents, and community
groups.
The Huron Clean Water
Project is funded by the
County of Huron. The Mait-
land Valley and Ausable Bay-
field conservation authori-
ties provide service delivery.
To recognize the success of
the County of Huron, and its
residents, to date, the con-
servation authority pre-
sented the county with a
shovel marking 2,000 pro-
jects completed in the
county, by people of the
county, with county
support.
These were the words
accompanying this com-
memorative presentation
marking 'shovels in the
ground' and projects com-
pleted on the ground: "Pre-
sented to the County of
Huron, by the Maitland Val-
ley and Ausable Bayfield
conservation authorities, in
recognition of 2,000 water
quality improvement pro-
jects completed on the
ground by landowners, res-
idents, and community
groups through grant sup-
