One son, Carl, died a number of years ago. There are eight grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Mr. Diegel is active and heal- thy and keeps busy in his wood- working shop making cedar chests, writing desks, etc. He is a member of St. Peter's Luth- eran Church, Brodhagen, and belongs to the Community For- um and enjoys playing progres- sive euchre in the winter, and in the summer is on the swing bowling team of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Mr: Ed. Smith, RR 1, Born- holm, who was 81 on the same day, have been celebrating their birthdays together. Mr. Diegel was at home to his relatives and friends at the Brodhagen and District Community Centre between 2 and 5 o'clock on Sun- day afternoon. Rev. Harold Brill, who has been absent from his congrega- tion through illness for the past four months, will be in charge.
