was broken into daring the
night at Hensel] Motor Sales,
owned by Roy Campbell, on No.
4 Highway, on the outskirts of
Hensel], and $8.00 worth of
pop was stolen, along with
some cash.' Chief of Police E.

wedding reception, Mitchell, on
Saturday evening. Mr. Arthur,

gram" at the Community Hall

readings,' duets, skits, accordian
selection, trumpet solo and sing
song. Miss Carol Mogk was the

Harold (Shorty) Caldwell was
surprised Tuesday morning
when he went to his car to find
that the fender skirts had been
removed. The 1960.Pontiac was
parked in front ofhis house on
the boulevard on King Street.
The noise of the thieves re-
moving the accessories awaken-
ed a neighbor, who shouted,
frightening the thieves away.
Chief Constable E. R. Davis is
the investigating officer. The
street is well lit with fluorescent
lighting.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Rigby, of
Blenheim, spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs: Harry Snell.
Mrs. Gus Voth and Jim, of
Royal Oak, Mich., spent the
weekend with Mrs. Lou Simp-

The Hensall Playground will
begin Tuesday, July 3, at the
Arena, and will c o n.t i n u e
throughout the month. Tues-
day will be registration only. All
children between the ages of
five and 12 are welcome to at-
tend. The program will run
from 9 a.m. to 12 every week
day, except Friday, when the
children will go swimming at
Seaforth 'Lions pool, providing
parents will volunteer to drive.

to make the playground a suc-
cess.
The Explorers of Carmel
Presbyterian Church held their
last meeting until the fall at
the church Thursday, June 21.
Leader Mrs, Gordon Schwalm
opened with a verse, "My Life
is God's gift to me, what I
make of it is my gift to Him,"
followed with the Purpose, mot-
to' and the' Explorers' hymn,
"This is My Father's World."
Mrs. Harold Bonthron, assistant
leader, extended the welcome
to the parents and friends. Sel-
ections.- sang were "The Old
Rugged Cress" by the boys, and
"The Church in the Wildwood"'
by the girls, Mrs. Ross MacDon-
ald accompanying at the piano.
Lois Wright read a poem from
Glad Tidings; Bible readings by
the children, roll call and pray-
er by Michael Hoy; minutes
were read by Charles Schwalm;

and a poem by Faye Troyer.
