'Eyre Family
A surprise party for Mr_ and
Mrs. Campbell Eyre was held
by the hunting gang and their
wives on Thursday evening,
April 19, at the Cozy Corner
Restaurant 'in Hensall. After a
delicious chicken dinner, the
party continued at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. William Bell,
where Campbell showed color-
ed slides of their recently pur-
chased summer resort at Res-
toule. Several games df euchre
' were played, after which Mrs.
Dave Triebner read a humorous
address and Mrs, Emerson Kyle
presented them with a table
lamp, and all'wished them suc-
cess in their new venture.

stance United Church entertain-

when about 80 assembled in "the
church for service conducted
by Rev. Funge, assisted, by

Janice Jewitt giving prayer and
Gary Jewitt conducting the op-
ening exercises, and sermon by
Rev. Funge. Misses Mary and
Margaret MacGregor and Ian -

"How Great Thou Art," accom-
panied by Joyce Brown. After
the service in the church,, ev-
eryone enjoyed recreation in
the 'COF Hall, decorated .in
Easter trimmings. Gaines, re-
lays and contests were well re-
ceived under the leadership of
Rev. Funge. The YP served

versity is the next mission in
that part of Africa. The Doctor
told of much of his work as a.
doctor, and how the people
have responded to medical help
in the• home.
