lowing their recent marriage in Trinity Anglican Church,
St. Thomas. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. A. E. Medcalf,
of St. Thomas and the late Mr. Medcalf, while the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Dennis, Walton.

Red roses formed the setting
in St. James' Roman Catholic
Church for the wedding of
Anne H. Willems and Maro A.
Vanrooy. Rev. T. J. Laragh of-
ficiated at the ceremony, and
Mrs. Alice Stiles played the or-
gan. The bride is the daugh-
ter of John Willems, RR 4, Sea -
forth, and the late Mrs. Wil-
lems. The bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Marinus
Vanrooy, RR 4, Simcoe.
Given away by her brother,
Peter Willems, the bride wore
a white sateen gown with lace
and sequins enhancing the bod-
ice. Highlighting the back waist
was a poinsettia. A pearl crown
held her fingertip illusion veil,
and she carried a bouquet of
red roses and ivy.
The matron of honor was
Mrs. Elsie Willems, Dublin, sis-
ter-in-law of the bride. She wore
a dress of aqua peau de soie
with a lace bodice and a train

at the back. White accessories
and a bouquet of white chrys-
anthemums with ivy complet-
ed her costume. Dressed simi-
larly to the matron • of honor
was the bridesmaid, Miss Rose-
mary Lansink, Seaforth. The
flower girl, Ingrid Hoste, was
dressed in white with a white
crown.
Wearing a blue blazer, grey
trousers and a bow tie was the
ringbearer, Bobby Jansen. Mar-
tin Vanrooy, RR 4, Simcoe, was
best man for his brother. An-
other brother, Riny Vanrooy,
RR 4, Simcoe, was usher.
Aqua candles and white flow-
ers decorated the Canadian Le-
gion Hall for the wedding din-
ner. Assisting was the Legion
Ladies' Auxiliary. -
Guests at the wedding came
from Simcoe, Seaforth, Sarnia,
Dublin, Peterborough, Tillson-
burg, Brantford, Aylmer, Lon-
don, Lucknow and Blyth. Fol-
lowing the dinner the couple
left for a trip through the
State of Michigan and Southern
Ontario. For travelling the
bride changed into a rose two-
piece double knit dress with
black accessories. On their re-
turn they will reside at RR 1,
Windham Centre.

MISS ELIZABETH B. RENNIE
Miss Elizabeth B. Rennie, of
London, died suddenly in St.
Joseph's Hospital, London, on
Tuesday. She had been in hos-
pital but a week.
Born in Zurich, she was the
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel Rennie. She re-
ceived her education in Zurich
and spent many years in Lon-
don and Kitchener, where she
was well known as a soloist in'
churches in those cities.

She is survived by two sis-
ters, Mrs. Jessie Stela, Vic-
toria, B.C.; Mrs. Helen Eicher,
California, and a brother, Milne
R. Rennie, Seaforth.
Funeral services are being
held from the George (A. Mil-
lard) Funeral Home, 60 Ridout
Street, London, on Thursday at
1:00 p.m. Interment will fol-
low in Sebringville cemetery.
C. C. (TINY) FARNHAM
Charles Cecil (Tiny) Farnham,
the towering policeman whose
booming, jovial voice was
known to. thousands in Kitch-
er during his 38 years on the
Kitchener force, died Dec. 10,
at K -W Hospital after a brief
illness. He was 61.
He joined the force in 1926,
when there were 12 men on the
force, served under eight chiefs
of police, and retired in July,
1964, with the rank of sergeant.
During .his last years he was
in charge of traffic tickets.
Mr. Farnham was equally well
known for his sports activities
in the Twin Cities. He was
president of the Kitchener
Sports Association and the Mi-
nor Baseball Association, and
past president of the Minor
Hockey Association.
He was a member of St.
Mark's Lutheran Church and
the Grand River Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Farnham was a son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Llewelyn
Farnham, and was born in Hul-
lett Township, near Seaforth.
He went to Kitchener 40 years
ago and lived at 67 Charles St.
East.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Helen E. Israel whom
he married in Kitchener in
1928; two sons, Donald and Rog-
er, of Kitchener; two brothers,
Allan, of Detroit, and Hall, of
Almonte, and four grandchil-
dren.
The body was at the Ratz-
Bechtel Funeral Home from
noon Saturday until noon Mon-
day when removal was made
to St. Mark's Lutheran Church
for service at 3 p.m. Rev. A. A.
Schweitzer officiated.' Burial was
in Mount Hope cemetery.
