PETER JOSEPH MURRAY
Funeral services for the late
Peter Joseph Murray, aged 50,
of St. Columban, who died in
Seaforth Community Hospital
on Wednesday, Dec. 1, were
held at St. Columban Church
on Friday at 10 a.m. Father
Coughlin officiated and inter-
ment was in St. Columban ceme-
tery. Pallbearers were Frank
Murray, Francis Crowley, Don-
ald Kelly, John Murray, Ray De
La Franier and Jack McIver.
WILLIAM PRINGLE
A former resident of Sea -
forth and Hibbert, William
Pringle died Friday in Saska-
toon, Sask. He was 88.
Mr. Pringle was born in Wain-
wright, Ont, but moved as a
child with his parents to Sea -
forth. A blacksmith by trade,
he apprenticed with the late
John Stewart here and later
moved to Marshall, Sask.
The last in a family of twelve
he is survived by his wife; a
son and a daughter, in Saska-
toon.
MRS. WILLIAM ROLLINS
Word has been received of
the death of Mrs. William Rol-
lins, 50, of Sarnia, who died
Friday in Sarnia General Hos-
pital. She was the former Mar-
garet (Pat) Finnigan.
Among the survivors are her
husband; a daughter, Carolyn,
and three sons, Terry and Jack,
all at home, and William, of
Cobourg; h mother, Mrs.
Jeanette Finnigan, Egmondville;
three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Jean-
ette) Edmunds, Barrie; Mrs.
Beatrice Oke, Dutton; Mrs.
Claire (Mildred) Haney, Foun-
tains Valley, Calif.; five broth-
ers, Alex and Gordon, Toron-
to; William and Stewart, Lon -

held in Sarnia on Monday. Bur-
ial was in Lakeview cemetery.
Those who attended the fun-
eral from the Seaforth area in-

GEORGE DIXON
George Joseph Dixon, 89, Sea -
forth, died Thursday in Seaforth
Community Hospital. For many
years he was a valued employee
of the Seaforth Public Utility
Commission until his retire-
ment in 1955. Prior to that he
had been a, horse buyer.
Born in t. Columban, he was
a son of the late Richard F.
Dixon and Jane Shanahan. His
wife, the former Jenny Glew,
died in 1950.
Surviving are three sons:
George, Seaforth; Roy, Wind=
sor; John, Vancouver, B.C.; four
daughters: Mrs. Roy (Rovena)
Williams, Petrolia; Mrs. T.
(Dorothy) Moore, Seaforth; Mrs.
G. (Hazel) Nelson, Santa Clara,
Calif.; Mrs. Alvin (Jean) Hoff,
Seaforth; a sister, Mrs. Ben
(Hannah) Duffy, Toronto; a
brother, Frank Dixon, Clinton.
He is also survived by 18 grand-
children; eight great-grandchil-
dren and one great -great-grand-
child.
The body was at the R. S.
Box funeral home here until
Saturday morning, when remov-
al was made to St. James' Rom-
an Catholic Church for Requiem
High Mass at 10 a.m. Burial
was in St. James' cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Flan-
nigan, Carl Feeney, Clarence
Malone, A. J. Calder, Charles
Reeves and R. J. Boussey.
MRS. MARY ANN FOSTER
Mrs. Mary Ann Foster, 83, of
Egmondville, died Friday in
Seaforth Community Hospital.
She was the widow of Nicholas
Foster.
Born in Waterloo, she had
lived on a farm near Zurich
for more than 30 years. For
the last 16 years she lived in
Egmondville.
Surviving are four daugh-
ters: Mrs. Luella Stemmler, Eg-
mondville; . Mrs. Dorsina Lang,
Waterloo; Mrs. Martha Hay,
Delaware, and Mrs. Irene Her -

duating exercises in James St.
Church, Exeter, when their
cousin, Miss Jean Doupe, gra-
duated as a registered nurses'
assistant. Miss Doupe trained
in South Huron Hospital.
Mrs. Alex Crago, Kirkton, and
Mrs. Alan Somers, St. Marys,
were Sunday visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. K. McKellar.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ramsey, of
Stratford, spent the weekend
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Alex Ramsey.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gardiner
spent Tuesday with Mr. and
Mrs. Burnell Wilker and fam-
ily, of Sarnia, and also visited
with an aunt, Mrs. Millie Klea,
who is a patient in Sarnia Hos-
pital.
Miss Marilyn Laingmdaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laing,
is ill at her home with pleurisy.

Prayers were said Saturday
and Sunday evening at the W.
J. Cleary funeral home, Sea -
forth. The body was at the
funeral home until Monday,
when Requiem High Mass was
said at 10 a.m. at St. James'
Roman Catholic Church, Sea -
forth. Rev. H. J. Laragh offici-
ated, and burial was in St.
James' cemetery, Seaforth.
Pallbearers were Larry Fos-
ter, Jerome Stemmler, Allah
Foster, Lloyd Stemmler, Ed.
Kuntz and Henry Gackstetter.

Mrs. Christina McKellar, of
Mitchell, who for many years
was a resident of Cromarty,
died in Hillside Rest Home, RR
5, Stratford, Sunday at the age
of 85 years. She was born in
Hibbert Township, a daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. John
Scott. Her husband, Duncan
McKellar, died in 1950. She was
a member of Knox Presbyter-
ian Church, Mitchell.
She is survived by a number
of nieces and nephews, but is
the last survivor of her immed-
iate family.
The funeral service was held
at the Heath -Leslie funeral
home, Mitchell, on Wednesday
at 2 p.m., with Rev. Alan Ross,
of Knox Presbyterian Church of-
ficiating. Burial was in Staffa
cemetery.
