Mr. Colin Henderson, of Don
Mills, was a guest of Mr. and

FUNERAL
MRS. SAMUEL J. SPENCER
Mrs. Samuel J. Spencer, 88,
of Seaforth, died suddenly Wed-
nesday- night in Kilbarchan
Nursing Home. She had been
ill almost a year. -
The former Mary Ada Heath,
of Peel County, she came with
her husband to Seaforth in 1921.
He died in 1936. She was a
member of Northside United
Church, Seaforth.
Surviving is a brother, Wil-
liam J. Heath, Barrie.
Funeral services were held
Saturday at 2 p.m. at the G.
A._Whitney funeral home, Sea -
forth: Rev. J. C. Britton, of,
Northside Church, officiated,
and burial was in Maitlandbank
cemetery. Pallbearers were
Harry Rapson, John Rapson,
Jack- Scott, Bud 011iff, Gordon
corns and Willard Laidlaw.

celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday. The
family -gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Koehler
to honor the bride and groom of 40 years ago. Mr. and Mrs.
Moore have a family of three—one son, Kenneth, Egmond-
ville; two daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Robert Beuerman, RR 2,
Walton, and Betty, Mrs. Elmer "Koehler, RR 2, Walton, and
nine grandchildren.

World's Fair in New York and
a tripe to Europe, including
England, Belgium, Holland, Aus-
tria, Germany, Switzerland, It-
aly and France, were enjoyed
Wednesday evening, Nov. 24th,
in the Community Hall.
Mrs. Torrance Dundas shar-
ed with the branch members
and visitors, through slides, the
holiday trip she and her hus-
band made last August and
September. These were very
much appreciated by, all who
saw them.
The program. was under the
leadership of Mrs. Herb Wil-
liamson and Mrs. Jim Clark:
The president, Mrs. Roy Wil-
liamson, presided for the busi-
ness. The roll call was answer-
ed by "Should November Llth
be a school holiday?" -
It was decided to have the
Christmas meeting on Dec. 15,
with Mrs. Margaret Humphries,
Mrs. Gerald Watson and Mrs,
Torrance Dundas as conveners.

went surgery at Ann Arbor
Hospital, Mich., last week.

two weeks' vacation in Jamaica.
