BY LEE HEE
there folks! Remember
me? Do you realize that sum-
mer is almost gone? What sum-
mer, I hear you say. Well, any-
way the little we did have the
past few months. This brings
us, up sharp. The bowling sea-
son is almost upon us.
We note these past few days.
Gord has had the, sanders and
'finishers around. Dropped in
the other night to see what was
new for the coming season.
Well, Gord has done it again!
He is always improving the al-
leys for his many customers.
During the past month he has
had the building •eompletely in-
sulated; has put in an extra
fan, and had the alleys, done
over. It is anticipated that
soon there will be new pins,
and that should make every
bowler happy. .Yes, sir, Gord
has gone all-out to satisfy his
friends and customers. Now
that:the alleys have been sand-
ed and coated, we - note • all
the pit -holes of bouncing balls
have been cleared away, we
anticipate all bowlers, will take
_care to really bowl -not throw
or bounce the ball all this sea-
son. In fact, not at any time.
Perfect alleys make for perfect
enjoyment of bowling.
We are givento understand
that the, same prizes for top
scores willbe given again this
year, with the- added feature
that if a league agrees to roll
with 36 players for 30 w-eeks,
the prizes for top, scores will
be doubled for that league.
There will be glasses • also for
high scores, and other prizes for
hidclen scores during the sea-
son. These are a few of the
highlights at the Noble Lanes
for the coming bowling season.
I have been informed that
commencing this Friday night,
at 8 p.m., sweep bowling, will
start the season, and will be
held.. every• Friday night until
league bowling, then it will fol-
low the league games. So, bowl-
ing enthusiasts, get ready for a
big season. Presidents and sec-
taries, commence to get your,
teams lined up and schedules'
set. The season will soon be at
hand. Gord and Gerda will be
ready to welcome you. So, let's
go bowling.
We like the story about lit-
tle *Kenny buying a ticket for
an afternoon movie.
'Why aren't you in school?"
the cashier asked.
"I don't have to go," was the
answer. "I've got the measles."
