The controlled skirt, double

de soie band, and she carried
a bouquet of American Beauty'
roses and stephanotis.
Miss Florence -Goodwin was
-maid of,honor, wearing a floor -
length gown of rose peau de
soie, with matching lace bo-
dice.
William Shaddick, Hensall,
was groomsman, and Murray
Baker, Hensall, and Robert
Clarke ushered guests. •
For the wedding trip to Cal-
gary and Banff, the bride wore
a white silk suit with '.brown
accessories. The bride attend-
ed London Teachers' College.

with a• scoop neckline, three-
quarter 'sleeves and a detach-
able Watteau train, of French

The maid of honor was Miss
Elaine Regan, RR 5, Mitchell.
Miss. Jean Lennon and Miss
Shirley Wiecker, both of, Strat-
ford, we're the bridesmaids.
Jack Klinkhammer, London,
was the best man.. The'guests
were ushered by Joe Murphy,,
Seaforth,' and Don Klinkham-
mer, Kitchener.
After the ceremony a recep_
tion was held in the Brodhagen
Community Centre. Guests at
the wedding were from, Toron-
to, London, Napanee, Port Hope,
Detroit, Sudbury aid Kitchener.
For travelling, the - bride
changed into . a turquoise and
white three-piece suit with
white accessories. The couple
will reside at RR 1, Dublin.

E. W. Oddleifson, 59, , of Lon-
don, has been' appointed man-
ager of Ontario Hydro's Exeter
area office. Mr. Oddleifson, a
consumer service supervisor in
the West Regional 'office, suc-
ceeds K.' Lampman, who re-
tires Sep . 1.
The appointment was an-
nounced by G. M. McHenry, of
London, manager of Western
Region. -Nir., Oddleifson, whose,
present duties include the su-
pervision. of municipal utilities
in most of Huron County,,will
administer electrical service to
some 4,400 customers in the
rural area surrounding' Exeter,
Grand Bend, Parkhill and Lu -
can.
Mr. Oddleifson was born in
Winnipeg, Man., and received
his ,B.Sc. in Electrical Engineer-
ing from University of Mani-
toba in • 1929. . }le joined On-
tarip Hydro in 1929 as a meter
engineer. During the second
World War he enlisted on Sept.
1, 1939, and rose to the rank
of Major. He was awaitided' the
M.B.E.
He is a member of the Bay-
field Golf Club, The Canadian
Club of London, and Union
Lodge, A.F. & A.M., London.
He is also a member of the
Association of Professional En-
gineers of Ontario, The Engin-
eering Institute of Canada, and
the Institute of Electrical and
Electronic Engineers.
Mt. Oddleifsoh is married.
and maintains a summer home
in Bayfield.

Mrs. Bella Reed, the. forinelr,
Bella Vosper, who was born
and raised in Fullarton Town-
ship, cerebrated her 85th 'birth-
day at .Bt;aeside Rest ,dome,
Mitchell, where she has resid-
ed for"the past year. In fairly
good health, she is 'up and
around each day.
Her husband, Joseph Reed,
passed away 24 years ago. She
has two daughters, Mrs. Mervin
(Eleanor) Nairn and Mrs. Rob-
ert (Isobel) Gardner, both of
Cromarty; one son, Gordon, on
the homestead; three brothers,
who reside in Mitchell: Jack,
Thomas and Hugh Vosper; also
'eight grandchildren. .
The afternoon was spent
chatting with friends and rela-
tives and a lunch, with a birth-
day, cake provided by her
daughter, Isobel, was served on
the. lawn by Mrs. Glanville of
the Rest Home.

FIRST CHURCH LAD1ES' AID
The Ladies' Aid of First
Church were entertained at
the summer home of Mrs. F.
Kling when there were twenty-
five members present. It was
a lovely ' day and all' enjoyed
the out-of-doors to the fullest
degree.
Amusing contests and games
were conducted by Mrs. V.
Coleman. The lady having a
birthday closest' to August 2nd
was Mrs. R. Kerslake; the old-
est lady present, Mrs. John
Cummings; the lucky spot, Miss
Jean Scott, and 'the Winner of
the bean contest, Mrs. John
Gordon.
Mrs. Kling reported on the
two weddings held in the
church recently, and for which
the Ladies' 'Aid catered. : The
September meeting will a in
charge of the East Group. Mrs.
Mae Dorrance displayed a quilt
which she had . made • for the
Ladies' Aid to sell.
Following lunch, Mrs. W. E.
Butt and Mrs. Charles MacKay
tendered a vote of thanks to
Mrs. Kling, and the group sang
"For She's a Jolly Good Fel-
low,"
