Minutes of the previous
meeting were given by Mrs.
Ronald Bennett. The roll call
missionary. Mrs. Walter Bew-
ley gave the Treasurer's re-
port. The copper contest lead-
ers, Mrs. Ray Huether and Mrs.
Herbert Traviss, reported they
had collected $143.50 during
the evening. The offering was
received by Mrs. Bewley and
dedicated by Mrs. McCall. The
meeting closed with Hymn 500,
"Take Time To Be Holy", and
prayer.
The lunch committee includ-
ed Mrs.' Edward Miller, Mrs.
Ray Huether and Mrs. Walter
Bewley.

contest. The meeting closed

The McKillop Unit of UCW
met at the home of Mrs. Mer-
ton Hackwell, Wednesday • ev-
ening, June 9, with twenty-two
ladies present. Mrs. John Burch
presided for the devotions. The
hymn, "Thy Mercy, Lord, is in
the Heaven," was sung, with
Mrs. Laverne Godkin as pian-
ist. Mrs. Neil McGavin gave the
topic on "Brazil." Miss Ethel
Dennis led in prayer. The Scrip-
ture lesson was read by Mrs.
William Roe from Colassians 1:
1-12 and Thessalonians 1:1-5.

.Brazil. Hymn 239, "0 Spirit of
the Living God," was sung. Mrs.

Funeral services for the late
Thomas W. McMillan were held
from the G. A. Whitney funeral
home pn Friday at 2:00 p.m.
Rev. D..0. Fry, of First Presby-
terian Church, officiated. Mr.
McMillan died in Scott Memor-
ial Hospital on June 8th, in his
6th year.
Pallbearers were Ed. Dor-
rance, William McDowell, Sam
Scott, Walter McClure, Arthur
Anderson -and Luther Saunders.
Flowerbearers were Walter
Scott, Harry Palin, Sam Storey
and James Aitcheson. Inter-

spent a few days last week with
