Another 38,000 will' reach age 69 during 1966 and should apply six months ahead, of the 69th birthday so that oheques can be received com- mencing the month following the 69th birthday. This had been made possible as a result of a recent change in the Old Age Security Act, introduced by the Pearson Gdy- ernment at Ottawa. Beginning January 1, 1966, the eligible age will be reduced to 69.
