Friends Help Mark
40th. Anniversary
On Monday evening about 60
friends and relatives of Mr, and
Mrs. John Jefferson met at Rus-
seldale Hall to help them cele-
brate their fortieth wedding
anniversary. Guests were pres-
ent from Toronto, Newmarket,
Auburn, Goderich, Sault Ste.
Marie, Stratford, London, Mun-
ro,, and Cromarty.
Honored among the guests
was the bride's father, Mr. Wil-
liam Ringler, of Walton, Who
celebrated his 90th birthday
last summer.

The evening was spent play-
ing euchre, with prizes being
won by Mrs. George Reeves, To -
Ionto; Mrs. Russell'Scott, Crom-
arty; Robert Dodds, Cromarty,
and Donald Riehl, Stratford.
Various gifts were presented
to the couple, with Mr. and
Mrs. Jefferson replying.
A buffet supper was served
in the balement from a table
centred with a three-tier wed-
ding cake.
The event was planned by the,
family, which consists of Mary
(Mrs. William Chessell), John,
Ruth (Mrs. Robert Laing), Mar-
garet (Mrs. Bruce Cleland),
Olive (Mrs. Donald Riehl), Eva
(Mrs. Gordon Laing), Norman,
Laura (Mrs. Charles Laforge),
and Ina.
The bride is the former Mary
Elizabeth Jeanette Ringler, and
the couple were married by the
Rev. P. S. Banes at the Metho-
dist .parsonage in Auburn, on
December 24, 1924.
