services which the 0.H,A. al-
ready provides, for its 250 ac-
tive member hospitals. This
move to bring nursing homes
into closer liaison with public
hospitals has been encouraged
by their own provincial associa-
tion as a step toward the fur-
ther improvement of nursing
home services to their com-
munities.

A 14-year4old Clinton boy;
Stewart Young, who wants to
make geology his career, dis-
played his collection of volcanic
glass, stones used by the In-
dians to make arrowheads, a
piece of the White Cliffs of
Dover, fool's gold, petrified
rock and fossils.

and why," -was answered by 13
members and one visitor. Mrs.
Norman Harburn gave the treas-
urer's report. Twenty-three dol-
lars was received from the plas-
tic party.
A thank -you note, for flow-
ers received by Miss Nettie Mc-
Curdy, was read. Miss McCur-
dy had the misfortune to break
her arm in a fall. Mrs. John
Miller thanked the society for
flowers received at the birth of.
their son. She also presided
for the business, when final ar-
rangements were made for en-
tertaining other societies in
October. A date was set• for
the annual bazaar in November.
The meeting closed with a
hymn and the Lord's Prayer in
unison. Lunch was served by,,
Mrs. G. Carey, Mrs. W. Taylor,
Mrs. S. McCurdy, Mrs. C. Mc-
Kaig and Mrs. L. Miller.
