Messengers Meet
At • Brucefield
The . Brucefield Messengers
held their May meeting. on Sun-
day. The worship service on
the theme, ."Being happy while.
we work," was capably conduct --
ed by the Mustard boys. A story
of a little Indian village was
part of the worship. An agri-
culture missionary has helped
the villagers, who are mostly
farmers,' to grow better crops.
The village parents were wor,
ried because there was no
school. A Christian farmer
donated . 10_1a,0__-arid__,same
wood for building. Everyone of-
fered to help, The Board of
Christian Service of the -United
Church of Northern India gave
them tiles for the roof. Every-
one worked hard and sang as
they worked. When the school
was finished the children went
to the fields and dug wild roses
and marigolds to plant in the
yard. The Christian teacher liv-
ed in the school and was pleas-
ed with the home. Adults learn-
ed to read. Because everyone
had worked together they were
learning about God and His love
for them, and the people of
Pempura were serving the Lord
with gladness. The Swan boys
will conduct the June worship.
The third chapter, "Kiran
Pians a Present," of the study
book was reviewed. The Mes-
senger donation at the Dedica-
tion to Mission Service was $6,

ings and a special donatioh
from the Mustard boys,
