by the Ladies' Auxiliary of the
Brodhagen Band, was held at
'the Community ,Hall on Satur-
day afternoon, and a draw for
three prizes Was held, with the
prizes going to: camera, Ed,
Oliver, Stratford; electric clock,
Murray McNein, of Mitchell,
and the .casserole to Jonas
Dittmer, of Brodhagen. About
$160,00 was realized, and is to
be used for band Uniforms, etc.
The Community Forum spon-
sored a progressive euchre at
the , hall on Thursday evening.

Easter flowers formed the set-
ting for the bazaar of the Wal-
. ton UCW Unit of Duff's United
Church Wednesday afternoon.
• Mrs. Harvey Brown, at' the or-
. gan, and Mrs. Jack Bryans ac-
- companying at the piano, pro-
vided several numbers.
A devotional period was held
in the auditorium of the church
with Mrs.. Allan McCall, presi-
dent, opening the service with
the Call to Worship and the
hymn, "Come Holy Spirit, Heav-
enly Dove." Mrs. Wesley Hack -
well read the Scripture passage
from the third chapter, - of
James, followed with prayer by
Mrs. Gerald Watson.
Mrs. A. McCall welcomed the
guests on behalf of the Walton
Unit. ' Mrs, Neil McGavin sang
a solo, with Mrs. Harvey Brown
accompanying,

County. Mrs. McKinley took as
her theme "The Hands"—some-
thing we carry with us all the
time, From these hands we can
see the wonders of God and al-
so the art of living. Who could
create such a masterpiece as
hands? As we 'talk about our
hands we .will think more
about them. Useful hands are
much -better than pretty hands.
There are one thousand refer-
ences to hands in the Bible. As
we go through, life we are leav-
ing our fingerprints on the
world. Mrs. McKinley quoted
various passages from the Berle
where the word "hands",. was
used. Mrs. Leonard Leeming
thanked the speaker and pre-
sented her,• with a gift. In her
thank -you she referred • td"" •,,a
Christmas message given by the
late King George V, in which
"hands" were spoken of.
The offering was' received by
Mrs. Herbert Traviss and Mrs.
Walter Bewley, with the offer-
tory prayer given by Mrs. Al-
lan McCall. The hymn', "0 Mas-
ter, Let Me Walk With Thee,"
closed the meeting.
Mrs. Allan McCall and Mrs.
Jack McEwing. received the
guests and Mrs., Jim Clark was
in charge of 'the guest hook.
The ushers for the afternoon
were Mrs. R. Achilles and Mrs.

' A very successful bazaar and
tea were held in the • Sunday
school rooms. Counters of bak-
ing, fancy work and apron's,
miscellaneous and candy were
well patronized.
CGIT Meeting
The CGIT meeting, held in
the church schoolroom last
Tuesday evening, was opened
With ,the CGIT Purpose and
CGIT Hymn and the business
was conducted: The treasurers
report was read and the roll
call taken. Next week the wor-
ship service will be taken by
Maryanne Wildfong and Joyce
McNichol.
The group decided to order
some CGIT chocolates which
will be' for sale, Mrs, Neil Mc -
Gavin conducted the worship
service. The craft 'course was
started by decorating Easter
eggs. The meeting closed with
"Taps."

Walton Needlepushers was held
