The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Pepper, RR 3, Seaforth, and the. groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Mac LeBeau, RR 1, Brucefield'. The Rev. Father S. E. McGuire performed the cere- mony and sang the . Nuptial Mass. Mrs, Berne McKinley, North Bay, at the organ play- ed "The Wedding Procession- al" as the bride entered the church, and "Now Thank We All Our God" as the wedding party left. Miss Sharon Strong, Dublin, as soloist, rendered "Bride's Prayer," "Wedding Prayer" and "Wedding Hymn." Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor - length gown of Chantilly lace • over bridal taffeta, with the fit- ted bodice, trimmed with se- quins and pearls, extending in- to a graceful full skirt. A rhine- stone crown held her elbow - length veil of French illusion, and she carried a white Bible crested with .an ,orchid in tones of mauve. Matron of . honor was Mrs. David Middleton,. RR 3, Clinton, sister of the groom, and brides - Maids were Miss Marlene Pep; per, RR •4, Walton, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Robert Pepper, RR 3, Seaforth, sister-in-law of the bride; and Mrs. Garry Mer- ner, RR 3, Clinton, sister of the groom: Bridal attendants chose sheaths of pink crystal- charm . with matching overskirts, and they wore wedding -ring head- pieces, and carried crescents .of white mums • with pink tulle. Larry LeBeau, RR 1, Bruce-, field, was groomsman for his brother, and ushering guests were Bert Pepper, RR 3, Sea- forth, brother of the bride, and Robert Caldwell and Morris Medd, both of Clinton. For the+....reception which fol- lowed at Hotel Clinton, • the • bride's mother received guests wearing' a three-piece pink lin- en suit with lace trim, ' with accessories blending in color, and she wore a corsage of white carnations. She *as assisted by the groom's mother who chose a two-piece ensemble in beige tones, brown accessories, and she wore a corsage of yellow Carnations. For a wedding trip to Ken - 4 • • tucky, the bride- travelled in a white boucle suit with, black accessories and a corsage of, mauve orchids. The couple will make their' home at the groom's farm, RR 1, Brucefield. Married ,50 Years Ago, Seaforth Couple Honored Mr. and Mrs. George Arm- strong marked the 50thanni- versary of their marriage at a series of events during the past week. ° A quiet family celebration was held at the Dominion Hotel,- Zurich, Saturday, March 21, to mark the event. Follow- ing the dinner at Zurich, the family gathered at the, couple's home in Seaforth and there they presented them with gifts from their children, grandchiI- dren and great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs, Armstrong were married on March 25, 1914, at the Presbyterian manse in $ea - forth. Rev,. F, H. Larkin offici- ated for !the ceremony. For four years they resided in Stanley, and since 1918 have been Tuck- ersmith residents. In 1962 they retired to Seaforth: They have one son, Bruce, of Hibbert; one .daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Storey, of Tucker - smith; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. On Thursday evening friends and neighbors of the couple gathered at their home. A so- cial evening of progressive euchre was enjoyed and the couple was presented with a lovely chair and mirror.
