Kippen East Women's Insti-
tute will hold their regular
meeting at the home. of Mrs.
John Sinclair Wednesday after-
noon, with Mrs. Ross Broadfoot
as co -hostess. This is the Citi-
zenshipmeeting with the topic
being, "Biography of Canada's
krime Ministers Sinee Confed-
eration." Roll call will be an-
swered by "Duties of a „good
citizen. Current events will be
given by Mrs. Ross Broadfoot.
The speaker will be Dr. E. A.
McMaster of Grand Bend.
The motto will be, "Ask not
what my country can do for
me, but what 1 can do for my
country." A poem will he giv-
en by Mrs. E. Whitehouse.
Members are requested to bring
recipes for supper dishes, rolls
and quick breads, and aprons

St. Peter's Congregation
Elects Board • Members

The annual meeting of St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, Brod-
hagen, was held Monday eve-
ning. The election of church
board members was held, and
the following were elected: Or-
ville Beuerman, Edward Scher-
barth, Jr, and Fred Jung. The
retiring boardmembers are Ir-
vin Miller, Harold Wurdell and
Leonard Rose. Other board
members are Ronald Hinz, Har-
old Mogk, Antone Siemon and
Robert Beuerman.
There were two marriage,
10 baptisms, six funerals, and
five members transferred. Rev.
Harold Brill is the pastor. The
installation took place during
the Sunday service.
The Married Couples group of
St. Peter's Lutheran Church
held their Christmas social in
the church basement. After a
short business meeting" progres-
sive crokinole was played, with
prizes going to Mrs. Reuben
Buuck, Ralph Fisher, Wilbur
Hoegy and Mrs, Mervyn Hod-
gert. A gift exchange was to
have been held, but instead a
gift is to be given to the burnt-
out family of Mr. and Mrs. Ken-
neth Elligsen. A delicious lunch
was served.
