Band director George Hilde-
brand, who appeared with band
members. Joan 'Pryce and .Naricy
Berger, said the band had "got
all we can from the board and
used all our own money„ so now
we come to yeti." .
He said 42 capes and hats
were required, as well as ,six
• additional\ hats for majorettes
and standardbearers.
-Council deferred considera-
tion of requests . for salary ad-
justments until the budget. was
prepared. Requests • included
-those of Constables Calder and
Ruston, who asked $200 each
•additional, together with Provi-
sion of a fourth man, so that
weekly time-3vould be reduced
to 52 .hours. Public works em-
ployees also asked for an in-
crease.
The-OWRC advised that an•
extension to the Goderich St.
sewer could not be regarded as
part of the overall projeet, since
certain clearanies had not been
received prior to work being
undertaken.
The work involved a 'short
extension on Goderich Street
West, for which it was found
provision had not been made as
expected.

Sinee Judy 8, when the present
police officials assumed office,
fines totalling $2,227.80 have
been levied; 307 parking tickets
issued, and 90 charges laid un-
der the HTA.

and 29 who served previously.
Seaforth's deputy reeve brings
the total to 36, instead of 35.
Three changes result from
township contests. Archie Ethz
erington is the new reeve of
Usborne, defeating Geo. Frayne.
Lorne Durnin comes tOrepres-
ent West Wawanesh, where he
was chosen over Harvey Culbert.
Reeve Dan Beuermann, 16 years
at the head of McKillop Town-
ship, is succeeded by Ken Stew-
art.
Grant -Stirling, former deputy
reeve of Godefich Township, re-
turns as reeve, clinatteuent upon
retirement of WatZien Walter J.
Forbes, and Everett Mdliwain,
who visited the council cham-
ber a year -ago to see Reeve
Forbes installed as Warden,„will
be taking his own chair in
council as deputy reeve.
Mrs. May -.Mooney, deputy
reeve of Goderich, ,has been

countl, but recorded votes of
other years do not indicate that

Archie Etherington, n e w
reeve of Usborne, served four
years on council before stand-
ing for reeve, and won his first
-conlesrlor the office by defeat-
ing George Frayne, reeve two
years and councillor for five,
unopposed. Mr. ,Etherington
was trustee of the local ,school
section for six years before a'
township school board was
forme& He has been s support-
er of central school administra-
tion in the township since the
school board first proposed it
to council. Mr. Etherington re-
sides on lot 29, concession 4,
of Usborne, the community be-
ing known as Hurondale. He
specializes in beef cattle. He
has had three boys attend uni-
versity. One graduated from
the University of Western On-
tario in journalism, another'
from Western in engineering,
and a third is at Waterloo Uni-
versity in the engineering
course.
Lorne Durnin served two
years on West Wawanosh coun-1
ell- before standing for reeve
and defeated Mr. CnIbert In a
close race. Mr. Durnin was a
member of the township school
board before entering council.
He lives on ecession 0, ILR 2,
Luckilaw, -and is engaged
mixed fanning. 111s a mem-
ber of St, Helen's United
Church,, His wife was Jean Ken-
nedy of- Whitechurch commun-
ity. They have two sons. The
new reeve is 'a distant cousin
of former warden John S. Dorn -

Reeve Ken Stewart, who will
represent Menton, has been
three years on township coun-
cil, and active in Federation of
Agriculture and other comiriun-
