Over 100 join together to mark 8th Lucknow & District High School Reunion
Over 100 former students
of Lucknow & District High
School gathered at the
home of Barry and Gladys
Johnston for a pig roast to
mark the 8th reunion
recently.
"It was a perfect day for it,"
said former LDHS student
Donna Moffatt. "Everybody
mingled and moved from
picnic table to picnic table.
There were a lot of pictures
and yearbooks - it was a
good turnout."
People enjoyed the pig
roast and made a point to
catch up with old friends
and classmates during the
Sunday, September 4, 2016
event.
The weather could not
have been more perfect
for an afternoon of visiting
and reminiscing. The
attendees flipped through
old year books looking at
their class photos. Jim
Watson welcomed every-
one and asked that they
provide their email
addresses in order to
assist the invitation com-
mittee who volunteered
for the 2018 Lucknow
Reunion. He thanked the
hosts for making the day
possible. Everyone
enjoyed the delicious
pork, corn on the cob, sal-
ads and desserts.
It is planned to have the
next High School reunion at
the same time as the Luc -
know reunion. The home-
work assignment was to
provide ideas to make the
next gathering memorable.
Old photos and memora-
bilia will be collected to put
on display for everyone to
enjoy.
Moffatt said the event was
originally started by a group
of Holyrood students and
grew to include the entire
region, taking place about
every two years.
The last year of the Luc -
know High School, now Luc -
know Central Public School,
was the class of 1967-1968.
