Joyce Adamson and Ruth Pritchard then presented a delightful program of poems, prayers and readings for Moth- er's Day. Several members also had interesting readings which, all in all, made a thoughtful, humourous, touching honour- ing of mothers. Karen read the Least Coin newslettter about elements from the Truth and Reconcili- ation Commission on Cana- da's Indigenous women. It also spoke of the seven sacred teachings intrinsic for a full and valued life: truth, humil- ity, honesty, respect, courage, wisdom, and love. Blyth Festival Singers to round off Willi Laurie Swedish pop group's well Blyth Festival Singers known repertoire performed by the Singers. Your host, Blyth Festival's John McHenry, will navigate you through the fun live and silent auctions between sets. We are secretly hoping one of our musical guests might help with the live auction. The end of the evening will feature popular local band The Whiskey Jack Music Com- pany. Prepare to travel back on a musical journey with fun pop selections of the past and present. Shirley Bolt gave the treasurer's report, also con- firming the Church's success- ful results from the town -wide yard sale April 30. We submit- ted our Bakeless Bake Sale envelopes too. Belated birthdays of snow- bird Deanna in January and Joyce in April were acknowledged. Karen noted the next Bruce Presbyterial meeting is June 4 in Arthur—theme is "Joy in June." Let Karen know by May 25 if you want to attend. The meeting closed with our repeating the UCW prayer. We all send a cheery hello to members Helen Cleland at Pinecrest Manor and Jean MacLeod and Jean Irwin at Sepoy Manor. 35th anniversary with a 'bang memories. Despite a few raindrops, support from the local community was "wonderful." The club recognized hosts Hodgins Home hardware for their support and Greens Meat Market for their donation.
