Notice of A Public Meeting
Proposed County Official Plan Amendment
(Section 22, the Planning Act, 1990)
Take notice that a PUBLIC MEETING will be held on April 21, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., at the Wiarton Community Centre,
Main Auditorium, 563 George St., Wiarton, Ontario to consider proposed changes to the County of Bruce Official Plan.
Purpose and Effect of the proposed County Official Plan Amendment - to provide an administrative amendment to the
Bruce County Official Plan, as a result of the Green Energy Act and Section 62.0.2 of the Planning Act that has made Official
Plan policies inoperable on renewable energy matters. The amendment would remove 'wind energy' as a supported alternative
energy source to meet environmental objectives or for use in district heating systems for development, from Section 4.3.1(xv)
and 4.11(iii), and would apply to all lands within the County of Bruce.
Any Person may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support or in opposition to
the proposed Amendment.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the County of
Bruce before the proposed amendment(s) are adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the
County of Bruce to the Ontario Municipal Board.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the County of
Bruce before the proposed amendment(s) are adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing
of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the
person or public body as a party.

at the above address prior to the scheduled meeting.

the public record, may be viewed by the general public and may be published in a Planning Report and Council Agenda.

RUTHERFORD, William Grant - May
22, 1926 to March 11, 2016 Grant
Rutherford passed away peacefully at his
home on March 11, 2016. He was in his
90th year. Grant was born and raised on
the 10th concession of West Wawanosh.
He left the area this area to prosue a career
in the Police Force. He was a proud officer
with the Kingston Police Force for 30 years
before retiring. Survived by his wife Shirley
(Bycroft) of 56 years and his sons Scott
(Cheryl), Shane and Paul. Fondly
remembered by his grandchildren Skye,
Christine, Shane, Sydney and Sawyer and
his great grandchildren Calleigh, Caleb,
Liam, Brinley and Alexandra. As well, as
nieces and nephews and cousins. He was
also predeceased by his parents Will and
Ethel (MacPherson) Rutherford, three
brothers, Hugh Sr. and his wife Irene, Mac
and John, as well as, his nephew Hugh Jr.
Family and friends are invited to a
celebration of life at the Shrine Club, 3260
Princess St., Kingston, Ontario on Sunday
April 3, 2016 from 2-4 pm. A burial service
will be held at Greenhill Cemetery on May
22 with a celebration of his life to follow at
the home Margie MacPherson, 579
Havelock Street, Lucknow, Ontario.
