HOPF, Grace Charlotte - Of Lucknow
died on December 24, 2015 at Wingham
Hospital at the age of 75. Loved partner of
the late Floyd Milne who predeceased her
in 2011. Grace was born in Greenock
Township to the late Mary (Carr) and Irvine
Lemont. Dear mother of Sandra of
Lucknow, John of RR2, Lucknow and Bill &
Virginia of Fergus. Missed by her
grandchildren Amber, Brandie, Maggie,
Kyle, Shayla and 4 great-grandchildren.
Sister of Hazel Ferris, Jim (Connie) Lemont,
Bruce Lemont, Allan (Nancy) Lemont.
Predeceased by her sister Velma Yocum
and her brothers-in-law George Yocum and
Jim Ferris. Visitation was held at
MacKENZIE & McCREATH FUNERAL
HOME, Lucknow on December 28, 2015
from 6-9 PM, and 1 hour prior to the funeral
service which was conducted on December
29, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the funeral
home chapel. Pastor David Williams
officiated and Anne Pritchard was the
organist. Interment in South Kinloss
Cemetery. Donations to the Wingham &
District Hospital Foundation, Kirsten's
Dream or the Walkerton Baptist Church
were appreciated as expressions of

THOMPSON, Alvin Errington -
Formerly of R. R. #2 Kincardine, passed
away at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home,
Lucknow on Thursday, December 24th,
2015 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of
64 years to Virene "Vi" Thompson
(Finlayson) of R -Villa. Dear father of Sandra
MacDonald (Allan) of R. R. #2 Ripley,
Karen Riley (Tom) of R. R. #4 Walkerton,
Arlene Thompson (Peter Corbett) of
London, Brian Thompson (Betty Anne
Bushell) of R. R. #2 Kincardine, Joyce
Cotterall (Chris) of Brisbane, Australia and
Janice Thompson (Ron Johnston) of
Granbury, Texas. Missed by his
grandchildren, Terry (Sean Pressey),
Regan (Derek Hori), James MacDonald,
Bradley MacDonald, Brett Thompson (Dan
Wright), Allyson (Andrew Lambert), Robyn
(Greg Farrell), Amanda Riley, Darcy
Cotterall and Elly Cotterall and great-
grandchildren, Emma, Evie, Evan, Nathan
and Jack. Fondly remembered by sister
Bernice Norman of Kincardine, sisters-in-
law Oral Cameron of London and Marilyn
Johnston (Bob) of Ripley and several
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his
parents, Stanley and Clara (Merritt)
Thompson,grandson Jason Thompson,
nephew Scott Cameron, brothers-in-law
John Norman and Murray Cameron. Alvin
was a dedicated farmer and avid horsemen.
He was a member of the Kincardine
Oddfellows Lodge and Kincardine
Agricultural Society for many years. Alvin
was Reeve of Kincardine Township for 12
years and Warden of Bruce County in 1980.
He was a member of the Bruce County
Board of Education for 12 years, and
served a term as Chairman. Visitation was
held at the DAVEY LINKLATER FUNERAL
HOME, Kincardine, on Monday, December
28th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00
p.m., where the funeral service was held in
the chapel on Tuesday, December 29th, at
11:00 a.m., with Rev. Don Harry officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Sean Pressey,
Derek Hori, Bradley & James MacDonald,
Dan Wright & Greg Farrell. Flowerbearers
were Terry Pressey, Regan Hori, Brett
Thompson, Allyson Lambert, Robyn Farrell,
Amanda Riley & Elly Cotterall. Interment
Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations
to Kincardine United Church, Kincardine
Hospital Foundation or Pinecrest Manor
Nursing Home Resident's Council would be
appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
