New Lucknow Huron OPP Reports
A 57 -year-old Kincardine
man has been charged with
impaired driving following
a traffic stop that took place
on Jan. 31, 2016.
Shortly before 5 p.m.
Huron County OPP officers
received a call concerning a
motorist that was driving in
an erratic manner on
Amberley Road. Officers
were nearby and within a
few minutes they spotted
the suspect vehicle, a Dodge
Ram pickup, travelling west-
bound on Amberley Road.

The Lucknow & District
Fire Department's new Inter-
national tanker is now in ser-
vice. Fort Gary Fire Truck of
Winnipeg delivered the vehi-
cle on Dec. 28, 2015.
This truck carries 1,700
gallons of water and also
has pumper capability if
needed.
Fire chief Peter Steer said
the committee who designed
and specked the vehicle
worked with Fort Gary repre-
sentatives to provide the
department exactly what
was wanted and are to be
congratulated.

A traffic stop was initi-
ated and the vehicle was
subsequently stopped just
west of Bluevale on Amber -
ley Road.
Upon stopping the driver
the officers noted the driver
had been drinking alcohol
and was displaying several
signs that his ability to
drive was impaired by alco-
hol. As a result, the driver
was placed under arrest for
Impaired Driving. He was
then transported to the
Huron OPP Detachment
where he provided two
samples of his breath to a
qualified Intoxilizer Tech-
nician. Both samples regis-
tered over the legal limit.
The man has been
released from custody with
a court appearance sched-
uled for the Ontario Court
of Justice - Goderich on
March 7, 2016. He was
served with a 90 day auto-
matic driver's licence sus-
pension and his motor
vehicle was impounded for
seven days.

dropped off at the Lucknow Recreation Department office or left in the
Recreation Department drop off box.
