It will be interesting to
attend the Wellness Fair at
"R" Villa on the 26 of this
month. We all have lots to
learn about our health
and those providing the
specialized care in our
area.
The Grade 2-3 curriculum,
he offered as example,

"There's the opportunity to
say take a look at our commu-
nity and what are some of its
important features and let's go
and look at communities
around the world," he said.
This, he elaborated, is a way
to expand a student's under-
standing of the world in which
they inhabit as well as better
see their place within it.

themselves as learners, he
said, and will foster a individ-
ual community within the
school.

Bruce Power employee injured
A Bruce Power employee
suffered burns to his hands
and forearm while working at
the nuclear generating site
near Tiverton on Monday.
The employee, who was
doing routine maintenance as
part of the Unit 8 outage, was
injured when gas became
ignited, resulting in the worker
being burned, Bruce Power
spokesman John Peevers said
via e-mail.
Bruce Power first respond-
ers transported the worker to
hospital and he is being
treated.
"Our concern is with the
worker and ensuring he and
his family get all the support
they need and we are doing
everything we can to ensure
that happens," it said in the
e-mail.
The incident occurred on the
non-nuclear side of the plant
known as the turbine hall.
The Canadian Nuclear
Safety Commission and Minis-
try of Labour have been noti-
fied. The ministry is investigat-
ing the incident, while CNSC
staff are reviewing Bruce Pow-
er's initial reports and correc-
tive actions taken, Peevers
wrote.

What he would like his new
students to know is that he is
committed to their education.
"I'm very interested in our
students being successful," he
said adding that he had an
"excellent staff"
"They are a really strong
committed group of people
that have some great ideas,"
he said, continuing that he
will work to create an environ-
ment to enable them to have
the greatest impact possible
on their students.
POLICE BRIEF
N. Huron man
arrested for
sexual assault
The Huron County OPP Crimi-
nal Investigations Unit has
laid an additional 10 charges
against a North Huron man
in relation to a number of
sexual assaults that took
place between 1976 and
2001. The latest charges
stem from incidents that
took place against three vic-
tims who were between
the ages of 9 and 17.
The accused was able to gain
access to the victims through
his employment at the Wing -
ham & District Hospital and
through his volunteer work
as a Scout Leader with the
1st Wingham Scout Troop.
As a result of further inves-
tigation, Martin Cretier, 71,
from North Huron, is facing
additional charges including
three counts of gross inde-
cency, one count of sexual
interference, three counts
of sexual assault and three
counts of indecent assault.
