compassion and love shown by prayers,

Stuart's passing. A special thank you to

our pain during a most difficult time. Stuart

Obituaries
KUIK, John - Sur▪ rounded by his family,
passed away on November 26, 2016 in his
78th year. John was born on May 5, 1939 in
the Netherlands to Dirk and Greta Kuik,
immigrating to Canada in 1953. John is
predeceased by his two older brothers
Klaas and Steven, and survived by his
younger siblings Anne, Robert and Freda.
John married the love of his life Helen Little
on July 5, 1958. She passed away on
February 5, 2004. They are sadly missed
by their four children; Donald (Bonnie),
Douglas (Julie), William (Sarah) and
Darlene (Dan) Smeltzer as well as their
nine grandchildren; James (Jackie), Sheila,
Mitchell, Jessica, Madeline, Claudia,
Jennelle, Kurtis and Kyle and three great-
grandchildren Tyler, Chase and Kira. John
leaves behind his wife and companion Leda
(White) and canine friend Jenny. Also
survived by sister-in-law Betty Kuik. A
private family graveside service took place
at the Greenhill Cemetery followed by a
casual gathering of family, friends, and
neighbours at the Lucknow Legion, on
Tuesday November 29, 2016 from 2 - 4
PM. Donations to the Lucknow Legion
Branch 309, Ontario Lung Association or
the charity of your own choice are greatly
appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
