On the cutters the bells would
ring
Back and forth they went ding,
ding,
Aroundthe trees were colour-
ed lights,
That were always seen with hap-
py delight.
On Christmas Eve the candles
are lit,'
And round the fireplace we will
sit,
Christmas carols we, ging with
joy,
Because twas'born a baby boy.
On. Christmas morn beneath the
'tree,
My eyes wide open, I could see,
Colourful gins all shapes and
sizes,
To us will bring such great sur-
prises.
Christmas comes but once a
year,
We should be happy while it's
here,
For this is the day "that Jesus
was born,
To came to the world' and praise
us each morn.
By Ronald Johnston,
T'was Christmas night and the
town was bright,
With trees so pretty and the
lights just right,
And in every house there was
a tree,
With- lights and ornaments for
all to see.
Then all of a ' sudden there was
a sound,
And down the chimney he came
, with a bound.
There on the floor sat fat San-
ta Claus,
He had a big belt and a ,book of
Paws.
He put some presents under, a
tree,
And up the chimney he did flee.
And onto the next house he did
fly,
And no one paused to ask him
„why. •
And therefore Christmas was
over once more, ./
Blit would return the next year
'W'hen we are ashore.
And down the chimney he will
fall, -
Bring a Merry Christmas to all.

When Christmas comes around
each year,
The people fill with happy cheer
And everyone is all aglow,
To find their lovely presents so.
The Christmas- trees begin to
• glow,
With lights and decorations so,
And all the presents wrapped
so neat,
That lay at everybody's feet.
And; then the best time comes
at last,
When all the prepa'ration`s pass,
When every little girl and boy,
Are filled with all that Christ-
mas joy.

Santa Claus is yeoming,
Off` December 25th,
With lots of brand new shiny
toys,
And lots IA other gifts.
We'll hang up lots of mistletoe,
Bright lights' and stockings, too,
Then --we'll send some pretty
cards, r
And, address them all to you!
On' Christmas Eve we'll decorate,
The "tree with shiny balls,
We'll set -up lots of candles
And then sing "Deck the Halls".
And when Christmas Day is over
We'll pack away our things,
And wait for another year to
pass,
To see what Santa brings.

Were dreaming that Santa'd
Dance 'round their sweet head.
They dreampt that 4iee gave
them
A ride on his deer, ,
And loudly they shouted,
"For Santa, let's cheer!"
Then eight of the reindeer
Jumped•as high as they could,
With poor gifty Santa Claus
In his sleigh made of wood,
Now this a true tale,
That I have just told,
Of the ride with dear Santa,
Through the clear frosty cold...
