The committee • was Mrs. Lorne Aikens and, Mrs. Charles Roney. The highlight of the evening was the draw ;For the Centennial name quilt which' was displayed and which the UCW members had made as their ,centennial- project, Joan Roney was the lucky winner and the `ticket was drawn by Mrs. Bert Daynard, Mrs, RossPepper had charge of the prozz am pre- pared by the Sunday School. Joan and Calvin AnniS' sang two numbers, "On the Wings of a Snow White Dove" and "The Merry Ploughboy". "If you Ask Me" by Russell Barker, Trio, Wendy Barker, Lindh Roney aid Nancy Pepper sang "Silv Bethel folds Party The annual Bethel Bible Church Christmas program was presented' on Sunday by the Sunday School with Har- vey Greer as narrator. Miss Debbie Dupee welcom- ed the congregation, followed by recitations from Jimmy Neal, Jeffrey Janes, Sandra. Neal and Debbie Shantz • Miss Valerie Patterson introduced the program entitled "Christ- mas Pathways". Taking an imaginary jour - ley down Christmas Pathways shepherds (Kim and Christine KetM.edy, Barbara Dupee) knelt by the manger -bed and Blanchard, Allan Janes) came wise men (Larry=. Dalton, John Offering gifts, illustrating a duet sung by Debbie Bechard and Donna Dalton. The record of Christ's birth .was recited by Althea Stannah and the wise men by Stephen Shantz. A recitation "Around the World at Christmas" followed with Laurie Kennedy, Kathy McGonigle, Phyllis Patterson, Ronnie Blanchard and Annette Zwep taking part. "Around' the World at Christmas" was sung by Julia Blanchard and Dianne Dalton. A play "How God Planned Christmas was presented by the Young People and Adult Bible Class and the program closed with a duet by Misses Blanchard . and Dalton, and Rev. D. L. Paterson pronoun- ced the benediction. Gifts of books were presen- ted to the children and pack- ages of candies and oranges were distributed. Miss Hazel Greer' was pian- ist for the evening. Scenery changes and posters were ar- ranged by Roy Dalton. During the program the beginners Rhythm Band also took part. CONSTANCE Mrs. Irene' Grimoldby re- turned home Friday after spending the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Fleming of Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. Bert, Haver- kamp visited on Saturday eve- ning with Mr. and Mrs. Art Haverkamp and family of Au- burn. . Mr. and. In a general discussion that fol- lowed it was indicated that when the Huron board was establish- ed it would be responsible for 13,000 sttxlents, not including those of separate or Canadian Forties schools. Transportation is provided by 32 board owned and 110 contract buses at 'an estimated' annual cost $600,000.00. Wilfred Annis read the minutes of the last meeting. Observers were ordered for a year 1968 and members were reminded of their stamp collection. Rev. BEIMLRS "Bronze and yellow mums on the chancel of St. Peter's 1.u- theran Church, Brodhagen formed the setting for the wedding .of Anna Beimers and William Edward Siemon on' November 4th at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Harry Lossing performed the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and 'Mrs. Peter Beimers, Brodhagen and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al- bert Siemon of RR 4 Walton. The bride, on the arm of her father, wore an aqua sleeveless floor length dress styled in empire lines. It had a lace train and jacket. The aqua veil was held by an aqua rose. Pearl earrings and blue satin `shoes to match complet- ed the ensemble. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and stephanotis. The 'maid of honor, Mrs. Keith Gregory of St. Cathar- ines, was dressed in an aqua sleeveless floor length dress styled on empire lines similar to that of the bride and had �-- SIEIVIOP blue flowers for a head piece. She wore long white gloves pearl earrings and necklace. - Mr. Keith Siemon, RR 4 Walton was groomsman and :the ushers were Donald Diegel and David Leonhardt, both of RR 1 Borhohn. Mrs. Lorne Mueller played wedding music , consisting of Praise My Soul, Wedding Pra- yer, Oh Perfect Love and Trumpet Tune. The dinner and reception was held at the Brodhagen Community. Hall. For a wedding trip to Tim- mins and Lake Kamiscotia, the bride Wore a multi -colored long sleeved tent -dress, light green coat -and black access- ories. • The couple -will reside at RR 4 Walton.
