A pretty wedding was solem-
.nixed at Grace Anglican Church,
Waterdown on August 12th, 1967
when Miss Donna Jean Welsh,
,Hamilton,. became the bride of
Mr, . Scott -Alexander Powell, of
Galt, formerly -=of Seaforth.
The bride is the' daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ross -Howard
Welsh, Hamilton, and the groom
is the son of Mr. • and Mrs. John
Powell of Seaforth.
The bride wore a dress, of
white norganza with scoop neck-
line, empire bodice, with A-line
skirt and a shoulder cape of
alencon lace failing into a chap -
pet train and carried a cascade
bouquet of glamelias. •
The bride was attended by
-her sister, Miss Marilyn Welsh,
Hamilton, as maid of honor and.
the bridesmaids were Miss Fern
Featherston, Millgrove and Mrs,
Barry Hill of Hamilton,, They
wore dresses of 'yellow organza
over taffeta with etupire'Waists,
A-line skirts, with trains of
chantilly lace and ,organza.
Their headpieces were of the
sante material 'as their dresses,
in a rose design,. with lace
background. They carried nose-
gays of yellow shasta mums.
The groom's brother, Mr. Ray
Powell, London, formerly of
Seaforth,' was best man- and the
ushers were Mr: Winston. Pow-
ell, Seaforth, brother .of ,the
groom ,.'and,,, Mr. Ronald . Powell,
Meaford, cousin of the groom.
The reception was held at the
Estaminet hi Burlington over-
loeking Lake Ontario. The
bride's mother received the
guests wearing an aqua gown

Mr. and Mrs. Laird Mickle and
Charles returned Sunday eve-
ning after a trip to Montreal.
They spent four days at Eitpo
and one at Upper Canada Vil-
lage on their way .home.
Mr, and Mrs. Don Kyle, Deb-
orah and Scott have left for
Lethbridge, Alta., where' Don
will be- one manager of Gener-
al Coach' for the Prairie Prov-
inces. Before' leaving they sold
their home on King Street to
Mr, and Mrs. John ,Wallace Who
recently purchased the 5c to a
$1.00 Store.

Word has been received by
Mrs. Edith Richards of the
death of her brother Chester
Lbuis (Chuck) Parsons. Mr. Par-
sons who had been ailing for
sometime, passed away in the
University Hospital, Edmonton,
Alberta, in his 72nd year. He
was the son of the late Mary
and 'Sampson Parsons_ and 'spent
.his early life on the homestead
now owned by his brother Roy.
Later he took up ranching in

and Sue -Ellen, who have been
stationed with the American
Air Force at Okinawa, near Ja-
pan, for the past two and a
half years, have arrived at -San
Francisco. Mrs, Shupe is the
former Bernice Jinks, daughter'
of Mrs. Irene Jinks of Hensall:
Mr. Ira Geiger who was a
patient in South Huron Hospi-'
tai; txeter, was removed by am-
bulance to St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, on Friday, where he
.will undergo surgery.

a few days last week visiting
,at Johnston's Harbor and To+b-
etmory in the Bruce Peninsula.
Mrs. John Henderson, Jack,
Sylvia and Kathie, visited Sun-

week for Winnipeg, Manitoba,
