bride of Robert Scott Leas, son
of Mr, and Mrs. J. R. Leas, Cal-

The bride waa escorted to the`
altar . by her. step father, Mr.
'W. J. Mickle and chose a white.

Her shoulder length veil was
held by a pearl tiara.
Miss Carolyn Lyle of Calgary
was matron of honor and the
bridesmaids were Miss Kelly
Mickie, Miss Judy Leas and Miss
Maureen' Stewart. They chose•
floor length gowns` of chiffon in
graduated shades of lilac.
Attending the groom was his
brother, Mr. John Leas of Van-
couver. and the ushers were col-
lege friends of; the groom..
Following the .ceremony, a re-
ception was held at the Glencoe
Club, where upon the couple
left for the Oregon Coast.
Upon their return the 'Couple
will reside in Edmonton, where
the groom is taking his masters
in engineering. Mrs. Leas is a
recent graduate in Pharmacol-
ogy from Edmonton University.

Hensall
Hensall Village Council ap-
proved a loan of $1,000 to the
Centennial committee for in-
surance on the Centennial build-
ing at their July meeting. The
loan, to be paid back later, en-
ables' - the committee to insure
the building with P. L. Mc-
Naughton. The ground before
the building is also to be level-
led. '
The hourly rate for employ-
ees was set at $1.25 per hour
and $1.20 per hour will be paid
for the tractor. •
Tenders are to be called for
the laying of new sidewalks be-
tween King and Queen Streets.
