Members of the COXT' spon- sored a tea and fashion show at Northside United Church on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Gar Baker, leader, of the group and sixteen girls modelled costumes which ranged from gowns worn in 1867 to the dress of the pre- sent day mod of 1967. One of the interesting c -ewes modell- ed was the weddnig dress worn by the first bride married in what is now Northside United Church, Seaforth. The fashions were presented against a background of beauti- ful spring flowers- The com- mentator for the show was Mary Oke. An old-fashioned lunch was served to the guests at cafe style tables decorated with col- orful lunch cloths and small flower arrangements in old vases. Mark 101st Birthday Mrs. Margaret Jane Craig, a native of Seaforth, celebrated her 141st birthday at the Ger- iatic Centre, Swift Current, Sask., where she has been living the past five years, A son, Wallace Craig, lives in Medina, and a granddaugh- ter is Mrs. Thomas England, of Liman. - Mrs. Craig was married to Norman Craig in Bruce County in .1886. The couple lived in Kincardine with their sever} children, until moving west when bot}- were in their early fifties. Mrs. Craig learned to 'ride at that time and took part in cattle roundups - until in her sixties.
