A surprise gathering was held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Len O'Rourke, RR 4,- Seaforth,
honoringthe latter's brother,
Ken Britton, Dublin and his
bride-tobe, Terry Barker, Oak-
ville, Manitoba.
Some of the guests arrived
in styles of 1867, others' dres-
sed in our own 1967; making
quite a contrast.
Mrs. Kingsley Salton, dressed
in her .centennial costume, led
everyone in ,a scrambled word
contest of wedding necessities.
Later, a mock wedding was .held
bringing Jeers to everyones'
eyes and stitches in their sides.
Jack Keyes; Stratford, was the
beautiful bride in a shapely
floor•length gown of white net
and :carried a large,:_large---boo-e
quet with a beautiful heavy
purple veil:to. cover his pretty
face. The bridesmaid,: Len
O'Rourke, was quite charming
in his knee length white bloom-
ers and pretty white mop wig
to match. Ruth Salton, Mitchell;
was the lucky groom Iooking
quite' dashing in her black tails
and bare 'feet and lovely pipe
to match. Mrs. Jack Keyes, the
poor old bride's. 'mother°, quite
pale in ' her black gown aril
straw hat, kept insisting the
ceremony was terribly long.
Other charming members ,of
the wedding .party were, Mrs.
Len O'Rourke and her three
daughters. The whole ceremony
led ,bY the competent parson,
Mr. Kingsley Salton, Mitchell,
dressed) in his tuxedo, tails and
nose glasses, carrying a stun-
