Hensall Council met Monday,
when Fire Chief David Sangster
asked for supplies and offered
suggestion for the improvement
of the fire equipment. E. R.
Davis reported that T. G. Ham-
mond, St. Marys, started pav-
ing the streets Tuesday, Rich-
mond St. south from Highway
4, to Nelson St. and 300, feet on
Mill St. from Highway 4. Coun-
cil 'also -agreed to pave a nine
foot strip by the town hall.
Clerk Earl Campbell was in-
structed to notify the mill own-
ers to meet with the Council
on July 12th 'regarding the
care of the mill dump.
Permits for building, were
granted. George Armstrong to
apply aluminum siding to his
garage and Mrs. J. C. Goddard
to renovate the office and wait-
ing room.
The Council- gave permission
to the PUC to install seven new
fluorescent lights on .King St.
and one on York St.
The• Clerk was instructed to
notify the Township of Usborne
that the council will only agree
to Usborne Township. paying the
third of the cost of operating
the domestic dump. grounds
per annum with no limit.
The council instructed Police
Officer. E. R. Davis to issue
summons to parties not having
dog licenses.
Kippen East Women's Insti-
tute will meet July ,19th in the
Legion Hall, Hensall. Hostesses

Mrs. Andrew B. Bell, 91, died
in the Queensway Nursing
Home, Hensall, on Sunday. •
The former Isabella Cooper,
she was the descendant of a
pioneer family and lived all
her life in Tuckersmith town-
ship. She was the widow of the
late Andrew Bell.
Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs J. E. (Etta) Stackhouse,
ndon; a son, William J. F.,
Kippen; a sister, Mrs. E. E. Day -
ell, Toronto; five grandchildren;
and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at
Bonthron Funeral Chapel, Hen-
sall, Tuesday, with Rev. E. Don-
ald ,Stewart officiating. Burial
was in- Baird's Cemetery.

Sunday. Mrs. Schnnieder is the
former Blanche Thomson.

The annual Cochrane reunion
was held- Sunday at Clangregor
Square, Bayfield. Over 70 were
in attendance from Harriston,
Palmersteen Alliston, Seaforth,
Exeter, Centralia, Hensall, Zur-
ich, Varna and Clinton.
Mr. and Mrs. Ian McAllister
and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Love
were in charge of sports. Win-
ners weree pre-school children,
David Sinclair, Karen. Fuss; girls
five to eight, Susan Sinclair;
boys, Steven Hillier; girls,
eight to twelve, Heather Sin-
clair; boys, Stuart Sinclair;
young ladies, Lynda Fuss;
young men, Grant Jones; boy's

Seaforth Bantams extended
their winning streak to four
games downing Clinton Mon-
day night by the score of 10-0
and Lucan on Tuesday 15-7.
Seaforth has now a record
of four wins and. no losses.
Clinton had previously been
undefeated in . five games
dumping Lucan, Mitchell and
Exeter in earlier contests.
Glen Nicholson pitched a
4 -hitter while fanning 13 bat-
ters to chalk up his third
consecutive victory. Seaforth
counted 10 runs on 10 hits
while dumping the Clinton
club in a lopsided game.
Glen Nicholson paced the
winners with a double and a
triple while Rick Hulley and
John Groothius counted two
singles each. D'oug Phillips
added a double and Bill Price,
Moody Hassen and Rick
Woods counted singles.
Seaforth - 15 Lucan 1
In Tuesday night's game
Seaforth downed Lucan 15-7
while $ill Price got his first
win. Seaforth scored fifteen
runs on fourteen hits.

GREY COUNCIL
Grey township council pas-
sed a by-law to regulate the in-
stallation of entrance ways
when they met, July 5th. Tuck-
ersmith council passed a simi-
lar motion at their last meet-
ing. The motion was first pas-
sed at County Council.
In other business, Grey Coun-
cil passed the following mo-
tions:
—that the following assessments
be added to the 1966 Tax Roll
for six months taxes: Hugh
Smith, N. Pt. Lot 51, Con. 1,
Residential assessment $2,100;
Ernest Back, N.E.. Pt. Lot 3,
Con. 10, Commercial assess-

—that by-law No. 10 of 1966, be

SEAFORTH CALF CLUB
Seaforth Oaf Club met at the
farm of Cliff Henderson, Kippers
on Monday, with 32 members.
Following business it was de-
cided to have a demonstration
and those appointed were Ger-
ald and George Townsend of
Seaforth. A lesson on feeding
and management of a Dairy and
Beef herd followed with a feed
quiz. The next meeting will be
held at the home of Earl Dapple
Seaforth, on August 8th.
