Saturday, May 21st, at 3;3.0

McBride, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Clare McBride, RR 1, Zur-
ich, and William' Thomas Shad-
dick, of London, son of Mrs,_
Pearl Shaddick, Hensall, and
the late Ernest Shaddick. The
Rev. Donald Stuart of Bruce -
field performed the double
ring ceremony, amid a floral
background of yellow mums.
Given .in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a gown
of white peau de soie in Em-
pire style, featuring pearl and
crystal beaded bodice with el-
bow length sleeves. Her veil
was held by a pearl and crystal
crown. She carried an all white
cresent bouquet of gardenias,
roses, stephanotis and ivy.
Matron of Honor, Mr's. Helen
Horner, Zurich; was gowned in
a jade green shan charm, fea-
turing Empire waist. The
sleeveless bodice was accented
with white lace. At•" wedding
ring ' headpiece completed the
ensemble. $ridesmaids, Mrs.
George Parker, Hensall, sister
of the groom, and Miss Gail
McBride, Zurich, cousin of the
bride, were, gowned identically
to the matron of • honor. The
bride's attendents carried bou-
quets' of shasta daisies. Flower
girl, Miss Julie James, London,
was dressed similar to the
bridesmaids.
Bob Clark, Hensall, was
groomsman, and Bob McBride
and George Parker, ushered
guests.
Miss Donna Peck, Zurich, pro-
vided bridal music and accom-
panied t•he soloist Mrs. Joanne
Muck, Goderich, who sang the
"Wedding Prayeri" and "The
Lord's Prayer".
For the wedding reception,
held in Goshen United Church
parlors in 'attractive pink and

Over 5,000 pounds of 'num-'
bered aluminum nails will be
used by The Bell Telephone
Company of Canada in tagging
the 295,000 telephone poles it
maintains in this part of the
country.
Each pole will be tagged
with the date of its instaIla-
tion, some of which date back
to 1924. The spokesman also
said that in the last three years,
nearly 50,000 poles 'have been
replaced with underground
facilities.
According to a Bell Canada
spokesman, this work has al-
ready"begun and will continue
