ed by a dedication prayer and
hymn.
Youth Fellowship
The 'Youth Fellowship meet-
ing of the Londesboro charge
was held in Londesboro church
• on Sunday. The meeting open-
ed with a sing -song, followed by
the Call to Worship by David
Medd. Scripture was read by
Doreen Riley. The offering was
received by Dianne Shepherd
and Peter Westerhout, follow-
ed by prayer and the Lord's
prayer by Larry Snell. Beverly
Jewittgave the topic, continu-
ing "Parent -Child Relationship."
The meeting closed with busi-
ness being discussed.

Funeral services .for the late
Mrs. Agnes Mason, ,who died in.
London, Tuesday, Jain. 11, were
held from the R. S. Box funeral
home on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Rey. D. 0. Fry, of First Pres-
byterian Church, officiated,. and
temporary entombment was in
the Pioneer Memorial Mauso-
leum.
Pallbearers were Jack Kellar,
Glenn Bell, Willis Dundas, John
Talbot, Russell Holmes and
William Seckerlihe. Flower -
bearers were Malcolm: McKellar
and Robert Joynt,
LAURENCE BEALE
Laurence Beale, 76, 376 Al-
bert St., Stratford, died in Av-
on Crest Saturday, Jan, 15. Mr.
Beale was born in Dublin, Jan,
25, 1889, a son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Cyrus Beale. He had
lived all his life in the Strat-
ford district, and was an en-
gineer in this district for the
Canadian National Railways for
46 years, retiring in 1953. At
the time of his retirement he
was the senior engineer on the
CNR,.... Stratford Division. He
started firing on the Stratford
Division in 1907 and became an
engineer in 1911.
His wife, the former Eliza=
beth O'Brien, died in 1956. He_
is survived by two sons, Lionel,
136 Elizabeth St„ Stratford, and
John, of Toronto; seven grand-
children and three great-grand-
children. A sister, the late
Mary Beale, was for many years
operator in the • Dublin ex-
change of the McKillop, Logan
& Hibbert Telephone Co. Mr.
Beale was the last of his fam-
ily,'
He was a member of the "Im-
maculate Conception Roman
Catholic Church. The body was
at the Gingras funeral home, 20
Caledonia' St. until 8:30 a.m.,
Tuesday when removal was
made to Immaculate Conception
Church for Requiem•High Mass
'at 9 • a.m. Burial was in Avon-
dale cemetery.

Mr. Erie Kennedy, of Hen-
sall, passed away suddenly • at,
South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
early Monday morning, „having
been admitted to the hkispital
Sunday night. •
Iii his 78th year, he was born
in Caledonia, and was former-.
ly employed with the Govern-
ment as a civil servant. • He was
a member of the Masonic Or-
der in Toronto, and took up
residence in Hensall three years
ago from Hamilton.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Vercy Geiger, of Hen-

The Januy meeting of the
Home and School, held Tuesdy,
was opened by the president,
IVirs. O. Oke, who told the meet-
ing the Seaforth H and S con-
tribution to the Centennial pro-
ject had been acknowledged.
The project provides for aid to
the Indian Reserves, with books,
etc.
Grade; 7. and 8 girls' choir
entertained with two numbers,
under the direction 'ot Mrs. R.
Read. 'Mrs. Robert Read was
named pianist following the
resignation of Mrs. Eyre from
the teaching staff.
Mrs. Elva Ellis introduced the
guest `speaker, R. H. Topp, of
the London. Teachers' College,
Who discussed and 'demonstrat-
ed audio-visual aids being used
in schools. Mr. Topp said'. the
trends in education are to
audio-visual aids,, which help to
tech a child faster. The aids
result in greater retention and
makes a subject more interest-
ing. He said 75 to 87% of
learning enters the• brain
through the eyes. Children
tend to remember what they
see, and forget what they hear.
Mr. Topp demonstrated some

A euchre was held at the
orange Hall .Monday .evening,
under auspices of the LOBA,
with seven tables in play. Win-
