The Christmas UCW meet -
of Duff's -United Church'
was held in the church Wednes-
day evening. The 8th and 16th
Unit were in charge of the Wor-
ship service. Mrs. Douglas Fras-
er read a poem, "What is Christ-
mas" and the reading of the
Christmas Storey taken from
Luke 2: 7-20 by Mrs. Jan Van
Vliet. Christmas candles were
lit and carols sung. Those light-
ing candles included Mrs. Alvin
McDonald, Mrs. Clarence Mart-
in, Mrs. George McCall, Mrs.
James McDonald, Mrs. Wilbur
Turnbull, Mrs. Kenneth McDon-
ald, Mrs. Harold Balger and
Mrs. James „Smith.
The ,offering was received by
Mrs. Ken McDonald and ded-
icated by Mrs. Jan Van Vliet.
Mrs Douglas Fraser offered a
Christmas Prayer.
Mrs. Alvin McDonald took the
business and thanked the ladies

Church report,. A decision was
made that we pay $1000 alloca-
tion for,next year. One hundred
dollars is to be put into House
Fund and two -hundred dollars
into the decorating Savings ac-
count Fund.

chairman of Christian Citizen-
ship and Social Action of Huron
Perth Presbyterial.
Used Christmas Cards were
prepared and sent to Mr. Lia -
Wan in India by Mrs. Gordon
McGavin and Mrs. Clifford Rit-
chie.
Mrs. Walter Bewley reported
for the Literature Program.
Mrs. Clarence Martin told
what had been sent by the sup-
ply and Welfare Cominittee. Bal -
en had been sent, clothes given
to Goderich Children Aid and
Salvation Army.
The Sunday School Concert
will be held Monday evening

day at the Church with Mrs.
Gilbert Johns in charge. ,Mrs.
McLellan told of her trip to Af-
rica and also sang. Mrs. Free-
man Horne played an instrum-
ental. Santa Clause arrived at
the close of the meeting with
