Having been nominated as Trustee on the
New Huron County Board of Education, I
solicit your stiPport at the polls on Dec. 2nd.
As one long interested in education and
as a member of the Seaforth Dittrict High
School Board since 1963, r feel my exper-
ience can be of assistance in dealing with
the problems that will face the new board.
The Man With a Policy
ON EDUCATION
—Upgrading teachers' qualifications.
—Implementing appropriate Hall -Dennis rec-
ommendations. There is no reason for 06r
schools ..to lag behind the .cities of Ontario.
ON _COSTS
—Our busing costs nearly $700,000 a year. We
must reduce duplication of services.
—We must use competitive bids for all services
and supplies.
—We must fill our empty classrooms before
building more schools.
Undoubtedly the one -room schools in McKillop
troduction.
SPECIAL SEAFORTH SITUATION
Undoubtedly the oneroom schools in McKillop
will have to be replaced. It will bp •to the advantage
of ' Seaforth' and 1VIeKillop if they are educated -in
Seaforth.

Experience: - •
levels of education up to and including univer-
sity.
—4 years with Ontario Dep't. of Agriculture and Food
in Clinton. During this period I met many people in
• the area to be represented and gained considerable
knowledge of the County.
—4 years with McKillop Township School Are Board,
which included theestablishment of the asea.
'
—9 years operating our own farm and -seed grainbusi-
• ness.
I believe the Old Boards have done a good job in pre-
paring for the County Board and that few if any changes
should be made before the end -of the school year.
If elected I will do my best to vvOerk with the other
member to represent the area.
Everyone in this area has two vOtes for the board of
education. I hope to be worthy of one of them.
