their family to celebrate their
fortieth wedding anniversary.
After supper they returned to
their home where euchre was
enjoyed and a presentation of
a deep freeze was made to their
parents.
Mrs. McQuaid is the former
Agnes Eckert, daughter of the
late Mrs. and Mrs. Fred Eckert
and James McQuaid is the son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank
McQuaid.
They were married algt. Pat-
rick's Church, Dublin Nov. 12th
1928 by the bride's uncle Rev.
J. P. tpantzer. Thezhave farmed
in MICirlop since then and Mr.
McQuaid has been, ssess4:tr of
the township for the past twenty
three years. They have a family
of four, all married, Patricia,
Mrs. Patrick Murray of London,
Mary Lan, Mrs. Matthew Den-
omme of St. Josephs, Frank of
Windsor and Roy of Kitchener.
They have twenty-one grand-
children.

Montreal, Zurich has been tran-
sferred to the Walkerton Bran-
ch, where he has been appointed
accountant.

ertainment Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noakes
entertained members of council
and their wives with dinner and
a social evening. The members
of council and wives present-
ed Mrs. Noakes with two -lovely
plaques.
Plans for Hensall pre Christ-
mas have been completed with
the. announcment that Santa
will pay his annuatvisit to Jaen-
sall on Sattirday afternoon, Dec.
14th. Ile will officiate, at the an-
nual christrnas party for the
children of Hensall and district
When they will -receive treats
and later be guests at a free
show in the town hall.
Included in the christmas act-
ivity program are' free skat-
ing in Hensall Arena, Saturday
afternoon during December and
January.

MRS. GEORGE HILLS
Mrs. George Hills, 87, fiR• 4
Walton, died Moday in Seaforth
Community Hospital.
The former Agnes Jane Kyle,
she was a native of Egmendville.
She married Mr. Hills in Egmon-
ville in 1905: He died in 1940.
• Mits. Hills was a member of
First Presbyterian Church, Sea -
forth, and a life member of the
WMS of the chureh.
