Church,, London, was the set-
ting on Sept. 28 when Joy Fum-
iko Uchiyama, daughter Of Mr.
and Mrs. Suyeki Uchiyama, Lon-
don, became the bride of Mer-
vyn LesTiepPepper, Toronto, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Pepper;
Walton. Rev. A. J. 'Ostle
officiated at the double- ring
ceremony.
The bride given in marriage
,by her father, wore a floor -
length gown of white peau de
soie, with Yoke, three quarter
length sleeves and train made
of French lace with scalloped
edges. She carried a bouquet o
three white ordhids with white
stephanotis.
Mrs: Mary Cleveland of Osh-
awa, sister of the bride was
matron of -honor and Mrs. Mar-'
lene Harburn, sister of the
groom and Mrs. Jean Ann Zur-
brigg of St. Catharines, were
bridesmaids. • The, bridesmaids
wore floor -length sleeveless
• gowns of jade green peau de
soie with matching shoes: Three
matching flowers of peau de

LOGAN COUNCIL
At the' <liar meeting of
Logan Township. Council tend-
ers were opened for a new grad-
er and the tender of Dominion
Road Machinery was accepted
for $25,200.00. This was the low-
est of 2 prices received. The
195/ grader was`traded in.
. A petition was received stat—
ing the Bruhin Drain was out of
repair and Engineer James A.
Howes is to be notified to exam-
ine same and rePOrt back to
council.
An invitation was received
from the Perth Municipal to
their annual meeting to be held
in Mitchell, November 20th,
Two Tile Drainage Loans
amounting to $ 4700.00 were ap-
proved and passed. The treasur-
er reported -the final payment
of the Unconditional Grant -was'
received in the amount of
$5788.50.
Road accounts amounting to
$2384.63 and general accounts
' totaling 3380.04 were ordered
paid.

Council met in regular Ses-
sion on November 5th in the
Belgrave Community ,Centre
with the Reeve, Roy Pattison
presiding and all the -members
present.

was the. matron of honor, The'
bridesmaids were Miss Valerie
Beuerman, Stratford, Miss. Ela-
ine Beuermann, R. R. 4, Walton,
and Mrs. Gloria Racho, Strat-
ford. They were dressed -alike in
floor length gowns of sky blue
peau de soie. Blue velvet accent-
ed the empire waistline and a
velvet bow held the floor len-
gth panel at the back. The head
pieces coneist'Ing of two, bows
one of velvet and one of peau
de soie held the veil. They car?
ried a cascade of pink and white
daisies,
