Rev. g. Lossing officiated at the donble ring ceremony on September 7, at 2:00 p.m. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was sheathed in a floor -length empire waistline dress. with long lily point sleeves. It was accented by a detachable train with lace trimming the edges. A lace flor- al headpiece held an elbow length veil. She carried a. ca- eade of red and white roses, The maid of honor was Miss Dale Beuermann, sister of the bride, RR 4, Walton and the bridesmaids were Miss Elaine Beuermann, sister of the bride, RR 4, Walton and Miss Blanche Dalton, cousin of the groom, RR 1, Londesboro. Miss Betty Beuermann, sister of the bride, RR 4, Walton, and Miss Caro- lyne McClure, sister of the groom, RR 1, Walton, were jun- ior bridesmaids. All the bridesmaids were clothed alike in emerald green floor length empire waist gowns. Petals accented the waist. A floor length panel was distday- ed by a bow at the back. Their headpieces were made up of a rosette surrounded by two pet- als. They held cascades of yel- low cystams and peach roses. Mr. Gary McNichol, RR 4, Walton, was groomsman and • guests were ushered by Mr. Lavern McClure, RR '1, Walton and Mr. Clyde McClure, RR 1, • Walton. Mrs. Pearl. Henderson played traditional wedding music and played as Miss MargaretEllig- son sang "0 Perfect Love", "The Wedding Prayer" and "I'll Walk' Beside You": • A dinner and reception were held in Brodhagen Community Centre following the ceremony. The bride's mother received guests in a beige crimpknit dress with three-quarter sleeves and wore dark brown accessor- ies. A corsage ofy,ellow roses completed her outfit. The groom's mother chose a blue linen dress with a gold metallic hat and black accessor- ies. A corsage of white roses completed her outfit. For a wedding trip to Tober- mory, Manitoulin Island and Sudbury, the bride chose a two- piece blue plaid dress with black patent accessories and a. corsage of white roses. Qn their return they will reside at RR 2, Seaforth. Guests were 'present from Galt, Brantford, ' Sarnia, Strat- ford, Elmira and Toronto. Prior to her marriage the bride was honored at three 'showers. Miss Linda Flatherty and Mary Lou Ritchie were hostesses for one in Galt. An- other was held at the home of Mrs. Mike Hishori, Stratford; where Mrs. Larry Pitts and Mrs. Sam Wyatt were hostesses. Miss Dale Beuermann and Mrs. Ed Regele were hostesses'. at a shower held at thelatter's resi- dence. Holds 'Meeting The Bowlers opened their euchre and bridge season with a pot -luck supper at the home of the president, Miss Dorothy Parke. Prizes were won by Mrs. Donna Patterson for bridge and Mrs. Ida Close for euchre. Mrs. Harold Free from Cali- fornia was present as a guest. The next party will be held at the club house on Oct. 10. LAWSON -7 ELDER The marriage was solemnized recently in St. Mark's Presby- terian Church, Don Mills, On- tario, of Carol Margaret Frances daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Lawson, Charlottetown, to Ken- neth Lorne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne C. Elder, Hamilton, On- tario. • The Rev. James Evans of- ficiated, with the Rev. Nathan- iel Holmes of Pioneer Memor- ial United Church, Hamilton, Ontario, assisting in the cere- mony. Tall white candelabra, lighte candles, white gladioli; - snap dragons and orange tinted car- ' nations decorated the chancel of the church. The organist was Mrs. Lillian Houslander of Ham- ilton, the soloists were Mrs. Wil liam • Kerr and MY Norman Rumney of Toronto; Mrs. Kerr sang "0, Lord Most Holy" and Mr. Rumney, "My .World" and a duet "God Hath Not Promis- ed" during the signinz of the • register. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father to the strains of Minuet by Handel. Her gown was fashioned of silk_ ligoda, trimmed with French guipure lace in a floral pat- tern. The neckline and choir boy sleeves were trimmed with denble rows of guipure lace and the train which fell from the shoulders was also trimmed with rows of lace. Her cathedral length veil, a single layer of ilUston tulle' fell from a contoured -tiara headpiece of the same fahrie as the gown and trimmed with' guipure lace. She carried and S-shiped bouquet of • orange lilies, stephanotis and ivy. • Mrs. Barry Diamond, sister of the bride, as matron of honor; was gowned in a floor length sheath of orange ice chiffon ov- er taffeta, matching shoes, wide rimmed hat, and white elbow length gloves. The bridesmaids were Jean and Katherine Eider, 'slam 'of the groom, and Mrs Pie. einato. They wore •similarlY styled gowns to that worn bv the matron of honor, in import- ed printed sparkling Ravenna in muted tones or orange, geld and off white, orange ice chif- fon wide brimmed hats, match- ing shoes and white elbow length gloves, Their • S-shaped bouquets were in varyingshades of orange gerber daisies. The mother of the bride Wore a crepe sheath with three-quar- ter length chantilly lace coat in seafoam green, matching Shoes, hat of silk illusion tulle in shot pink, and a corsage of pale pink sweetheart roses. , The groom's mother, w'ore an ensemble of aqua silk and wor- sted fabric-, princess style dress, the coat with pleats falling from a yolk effect at the back, match- ing hat of braided tulle, and shoes in a similar shade to the ensemble, corsage of yellow sweetheart roses. Ennio Piccinato of Toronto, was the best man and John War- neke, David Grosvenor and John Elder, brother of the groom, were the ushers. The reception was• held in the garden at the home ofthe bride's aunt. Mrs. H. M. Steck- ley, Don Mills, Ontario. Frank S. Hastie, Kitchener, Ontario, was master of cere- monies and 11. L. Hastie, • the ' bride's godfather, proposed the toast to the bride to which the groom responded. The best man and the master of cepmenies proposed toasts and read the - manytelegrams, the bridal couple had received, Mrs. Joy Lemmon circulated the guest book. The happy couple left for Honey Harbour, Ontario on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a sheath dress of red, white and blue silk, a white linen coat, styled with an mph,* waistline, navy, hat and aecessories,, She carried a tiny nosegay of scar- let rarnations.
