The Huron Expositor, 1968-09-19, Page 54 4 „ Chambers Montgomery, Wingham United Church was the scene of a prety wedding on Friday, Sept. 6th, at -7:30 " p.m. when Jacqueline Gail Mont- gomery and Robert Kenneth Chambers, both of RR 4, Wing - ham, were united in marriage. Rev. Rae Grant was the officiat- ing minister. The church was decorated with pink and white gladioli. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Montgom- ery of RR 4, Wingham aid the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Chambers of RR 4, Wingham. The bride, given in marriage by_her father, yeare_an empieeee full-length peau, de soie gown With a• chantilly lace bodice and sheath '‘ sleeves belled at the wrist. The waist length veil of nylon tulle and lace was held by a coronet halo wllh flowers. She carried a bouquet of deep red eoses. M. Arthur Hand of Durham, as matron of honor and Miss Trudy Montgomery of Wing - ham, as bridemaid, both sisters of the bride, wore matching dresses of empire full-length pink nylon and acetate lace ov- er taffette with • short sleeves and three-quarter length gloves. Their shoulder -length veils of pink nylon tulle and lace were held by headpieces of pink roses. They carried bouquets of light p'ele roses. The organist, Mrs. Mustard, played traditional wedding mus- ic and °accompanied the soloist, Mrs Lyma Hickey when • she sang "0 Perfect Love'! and the "Wedding Prayer". William Chambers of RR 4, Wingham, was groomsman and the usher was Rae Mathers ,of Bluevale. The bodice was high- lighted by a rolled bateau neck- line, elbow -length sleeves and an empire waistline. A train extending at the back in grace- ful folds from the neckline fell to Chapel length. To complete her bridal outfit, the bride chose a French pure silk illu- sion veil Caeght up by a floral cluster of lily of the valley and carried a Colonial bouquet of white butterfly roses intersper- sed with satin streamers knot- ted with white sweetheart roses.. The matron of honor, -Mrs. Allister Cameron, sister of the bride, RR 3, Dutton, Miss Mary McKercher, sister of the groom, London and Miss Phyllis Tam - lin, St. Thomas, as bridesmaids, wore identical floor -length gowns of avacado green crepe designed with bate'au necklines, elboW-length sleeves, empire Waistlines and A-line skirts, with an extra fullness in the back and matching tailored bow head- pieces. They carried Colonial bouquets of white pom poms and golden garnet sweetheart roses with white satin streamers. The flowergirl, Miss Eliza- beth Ann Cameron, niece of the bride, was gowned in a floor - length empire 'styled' gown of white crepe. Her bouquet was a smaller version of the senior attendants and she had match- ing flowers in her hair. Mrs. Kenneth Howe played traditipnal wedding music and accompanied the. soloist, Mr. William Campbell of Seaforth. Mr. Larry -Wheatley, RR 1, Dublin, was the groomsman and the ushers were Mr. Allan Dav- is, Brampton and Mr. Robert J. Pryce, RR 1. Dublin.
