The Robinson reunion was
held Saturday, July-I3th at Ted
Robinson's home, sita3 KipPen
with guests from San Francisco,
Toronto, Dutton, London, Chat-
ham, Thamesville, and the sur-
rounding area. Fifty-four mem-
bers of the elan sat down- to a
dinner and supper followed by
games.

Hensall has purchased the
house formerV occupied by W.
R. Cooper and are moving in.

Florida have returned home af-
ter visiting with Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Slavin.

home Wednesday evening, July
17 and surprised the couple on
their 25th wedding anniversary:
For entertainment the highlight
of the evening was progresSive
euchre which was played on the
lawn. Prizes were given for high
and low scores.
The couple was presented with
a large mirror and other gifts.
The address was read by Ted
Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Hood
thanked everyone and lunch was
served.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kirk and
family spent Sunday in Port
Stanley with Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Kirk. Louise remained with her
grandparents for some holidays, •
Mr. Robert Thompson of Kip -
pen who recently celebrated his
91st birthday was very pleased
last week to receive a framed
scrdll from the Provincial, Gov-
ernment.

Grand Rapids, Min., attended
the Treasure -Smillie wedding on
Saturday in Hensall United
Church and Called on Mrs. Long
in the evening.

when the neighbors gathered to

prior to moving to their new
home in Hensall. After a few •

tained Saturday evening at a
miscellaneous shower in honor
'of Miss Barbara Dales of Wheat-
ley whose marriage to David
Cooper takes place August 24th.
Miss Dales, who teaches pub-
lic school in London, thanked
all and extended an invitation
to visit her in her new home.

United Church Saturday, July
6, at 4 o'clock when Glenyee
Lorene, daughter of Mrs. Wil-
bur Jewitt, RR 1, Clinton and
the late Mr. Jewitt, became the
bride of Ralph Douglas Glew,
son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Glew, Clinton. The Rev. J. C.
Britton of Seaforth, officiated at
the. ceremony.
Traditional wedding music
was played by the church organ-
ist, Mrs. Harry Lear, who ac-
companied Ilarbara, Bonnie and
Betty Snell of Londesboro. Be
fore the ceremony the trio sang
"The Wedding Prayer" during
the ceremony "-The Lord's Pray-
er" and during the signing of.
the register, "The Wedding
Benediction".
Given in marriage by her
brother, Ronald Jewitt, the
bride chose a skimmer style
gown of silk organza over taf-
feta with a round 'high collar
'enhanced with guipure lace,
wrist -length sleeves with lace
detail and lace extending from
the collar to the hem on the
front and back of her dres,s. Her
train draped from a - wedding
ring head -band, was of lace
cathedral tulle. She carried
pink roses and trailing ivy.
Matron of honor was her sis-
ter-in-law Mrs. Ronald Jewitt
and the bridesmaids were Mrs.
George MacDonald, London and
Miss Connie Brittoh of Toronto.
They wore identical gowns of
petal pink organza over taffeta
with portrait neck, elbow sleeves
with deep trim of guipure lace.
Their skimmer style gowns had
watteau trains and their. head-
dress was wide lace bands with
bouffant veils. Their bouquets
were pink -tipped white mums.
Frank Glew of Toronto, bro-
ther of the. groom was grooms-
man. The guests were ushered
by Bev. and Brian Jewitt, bro-
thers of the bride and Randal
Glew, brother of the groom.
Following the ceremony, the
dinner and reeeption was held
in the church basement.
The bride's mother received
in a mint green dress with
matching coat and a corsage of
yellow sweetheart roses. The '
groom's mother wore a blue
two-piece dress with a corsage
of pink roses.
For the wedding trip, the
bride wore an aqua blue en-
semble with matching, hat and
accessories and a corsage of
pink roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Glew will re-
side at 221 Thames Crescent,
Dorchester.
Prior to her marriage the
bride was honored at a shower
brher Constance girl friends at
the home of her cousin, Mrs.
Jim Preszcator, by relatives and
Seaforth friends at the home
of Mrs. Lorne Lawson, by the
community in C,onstance United
Church and by the staff of Hul-
lett Central School at the home
of Mrs. William Howson, Blyth.
