Lean of The Huron Expositor and Robert Stanfield, Conservative leader at Niagara Falls dur-
ing the recent Ontario Weekly Newspaper Association Convention. MacKenzie was on loan
from Louis Tus,saud's famous English Wax Museum, whose only operation outside of Eng-
land is now located at Niagara Falls. Mr. McLean is the retiring president of the organiza-
tion while Mr. Stanfield spoke to the organization at one of the luncheon meetings.

Former Resident Dies Honor
Following a , lengthy illness,
VVilliarn Adrian Hogg, 130 Sec-
ond St. died in the General and
Marine Hospital on Wednesday,
Feb. 21, 1968. Born at Seaforth
in 1901,, he was a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hogg.
Coming to Collingwood twen-
ty-seven years. ago he served
for some time as a member of
the local Police Force. Later he
was associated With the Trott
Funeral name. In 1960 he' pur-
chased the Hiawatha Restaur-
ant and had contintied in this

ber of Simcoe County Council,.
he was chairman of several
committees. During his years
with Collingevood Council, he
held the chairmanship of the
Police Commission and also the
Board of Works.
He was a member of Trinity
United Church, Fraternally, he
was a member of Manito Mas-
onic Lodge and the Rameses
Shrine in Barrie. He was also
a member of the Orange Order
And of the Lions Club.
A keen, sportsman, he spon-
sored the Collingwood Indians
Junior C Hockey Club and was`
a direetor of the Harness Rac-
ing Club. -
fle is survived by his wife,
the former Irene Smith; two
sons, Carman of Collingwood
and -Wallace of St. Catherines;
two daughters, Marjorie (Mrs.
Robert Walmsley) or Meaford
and Jean (Mrs. Donald Cook)
of Collingwood: one brother,
Robert, of Niagara Falls; and
eleven grandchildren. ,-
His funeral at the Chatter -
son -Austin Funeral • Home on
Saturday, Feb, 24, was conduo,
ted by Rev. Keith Tudor of
Trinity United Church. Honor-
ary pallbearers were Messrs.
Gordon Braniff, William Bar-
wick, William Clark, Harold
Gilmore, Ross Graham, John
Grier, Reeve Mel McKean and
Heber Smith, M.P.
Mr. Hogg's remains were ta-
ken to Seaforth where a fur-
ther -service was held on Sunday
afternoon at the Whitney Fun,
eral Home, conducted by Rev.
J. C. Britton. Pall -bearers were
Messrs. Wm. Carrupbell, Orval
Storey, Lewis Botton, Alex Kerr,
Aron Jantzie and Ernest Toll,

day evening, March 18 in honor
of Miss Elly Vanderzon, who

and Mrs. T. Schoonderwoerd on
