Mrs. Jim Axtmann opened the devotional part of the meeting with a poem, "Hail To -The King" and read the scripture lesson, Psalm 45, verses 1-10, whieh was followed by prayer. "Tis Winter Now, the Fallen Snow" was sung and Mrs. Axt- mann suggested at this time of year we should renew the pur- pose of our UCW and read this from the membership cards. She also gave an introduction to the new study book for 1968 which is "Japan Profiles". The ladies were divided into three groups and given material to look up under the headings of climate and geography of Jap- an, dress, customs and govern- ment.
