With winter weather now upon us we
should remember to feed those little birds
• who are spending the winter in the area.
• "Fill up the bird feeder S and hang out
that suet," advised 6erty Keller of Dublin
in a phone eall this week:
Mrs. Keller said it is not wise to fill up
our feeders too early in the fall as that
might tempt some birds not to fly south to
their winter home. But now that winter
weather is here she reminds us not to let
our little friends down and to keep the
• feeders filled ufor the rest of the winter
Mrs. Keller, It member of the
Canadian Wildlife Federaton, says all of us -
should be mindful our wildlife and help
conserve our natural resources.
Some erkdangered birds are the beautiful
red cardinals that are such a joy to to see or
hear on a cold winter morning and •the
pretty Bobwhite, ' the WhiteTailed Deer'
and the Caribou are among the endangered
• animals and the Douglas Fir among the
trees to be protected.
