Administrator effeedVe November 1,, 1979.
Mr. Roulston has been actively involved
with the Blyth Slimmer Festival since ifs
inception five years ago, and took a leading
role in the restoration of Blyth Memorial;
Hall. As founding president of the Blyth
Centre for the Arts, he and former Artistic!
Director James Roy were responsible for the,
first season in 197$ when the Festival got'
underway. The 1979 ten -week season saw
22,000 theatregoers and an operating budget•
of $175,000 compared to the first season
which had a four week run, 2,900 patrons
and. a, $10,000 budget. It is proof that the
policy of producing otiginal Canadian plays
that relate to the community, and operating
II theatre that has community base was
well founded,
• With his involvement and commitment to.
the Blyth Summer Festival, and his back-
ground in jqurnalism, and knowledge of the
Media, he brings a great deal of eiperience
to the position of Administrator.

Seaforth has returned from Chicago where he attended a
two -clay program arranged by International Harvester for
• 2000 III dealers.
Seaforth Legion's Grey Cup draw was won by Ernie
Hciugh of Seaforth. Bill O'Shea solcl•the winning ticket,
• with a score of
Helen Crocker of Huron St. Seaforth was one of 160 part
time students receiving a. B.A. degree at the University of
Western Ontario recently.
"The achievement of our .parttime students is a
• particular source of pride," commented Dr. Thonuts N.
Guinsburg, Dean of ,the Faculty. a Part -Time and.
Continuing Education at .Western. "Their record of
perseverance over a number of years demonstrates .that
their part -time path to a degree, while far from easy, is
altogether feasible. Western in pleased to have been able
to help them reach their goal.".
• Fran; Bud and Chad White were guests on the weekend
with Andy, Susan and Gaby White in McKillop, •
• Jim and Lois Fitzgerald, Andrea anctKris of Clintonwere
among the crowd who enjoyed the Seaforth Lions Santa
Claus parade on Saturday.
•Frank Reynolds has returned to his home in Harpurhey,
after spending: the past six weeks with his son Doug in
Nanaimo, Vancouver Wand,
'Mrs, Jean Pinder, an employee of Larone's on Seaforth.
• Main St for 25 years,was honoured at a dinner Saturday
• night at the home of Ken and Nancy Larone. Mrs, Pinder
was presented with a gold witch and a bouquet Or roses.
• Other staff Members attended as did Elmer Larone "and his
• wife Peg.

As a writer Mr. Roulston has had three
successfut production. at the Summer
Festival: The Shortest Distance Between
Two Points, His Own Boss and McGilli-
cuddy's Lost Weekend. As a recent recipient
of .a short term Canada Council grant he is
„currently Involved in a new writing project.
He feels that with, an, excellent 1979
summer season, the opportunity of working.
with Artistic Director Janet Amos and the
expansion programme that great things are
in store f Blyth as plans get underway for
the 1980 season..
Keith is married and has three children.
He resides in the country just outside the
village of Blyth „ where he has a small farm.
