with itS bigbest award for outstanding service, Miss Not*.
a daughter of the late Winnie and RaYMoncl NOM won the
StiPerintenclent's aWard in, recognition of her service to the
community. She also received a sustained superior
performance award and she will becorne the department'S
candidate for the 1.979 governor's award for distinguished
State service.
Miss 'Non, head librarian at the /Ohba Library. 1.1,'as
honoured for her develepment of an after School program.
Miss Nott visited in the Seaforth area last week,
Mrs. Shirley O'Shea and daughter Nancy, entertained
Saturday in. honour Of Mrs. Annie Oldfielcrs fiOth birthdaY.
Among the guests were Nancy Nett and Catherine Night
of Honolulu. Hawaii. Mrs, Don Mills and Jennifer of
London and Mrs. Lizzie firewn of Seaforth.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Van 150oren of McKillop have
returned after spending a holiday in Holland
Mrs. E. Scott and son Ron from Norwa.k, •California
visited at the home of her parents. Mr. and' Mrs. David
Papple recently, Also Mrs. J. Rotchill of Welland and Mrs.
D. Stinsnn of London, Ontario.
Isabel Hunt. Edith MelVfillan and Carol Hunt visited last
week with Mr. and Mrs. Don Vincent of Brighton.
Walter and Pat Armes, daughter Diane and Allan
Armes of Egmondville have returned from a month's
holiday in England and Wales. The family went and
returned on the Stefan Batory, a Polish Qcean Lines ship.
The weather in Britain Was unseasonably coot during the
Armes* visit.
Colleen Melady and Mrs. Mary Meladyof St. Colurnban
have returned from Edmonton, Alberta where they visited
with Mr. and Mrs, Glenn Butters,
Mr, Joseph McConnell of Huronview visited Seaforth
friends last week.

Kiwanis club of Stratford
with the aid of Wintario to
the extent of $20,000. are in
their second season since

music teachers of both
schools. They have competed
in '78 and will be again
August. 29 with the best' at
the CNE and deserved a
much larger audience of area
citizens.
• Sunday, July 29 will see
the crack Highland Police
Band of London under the
direction of Inspector Brunt-
on, will put on a Scottish
display of Highland music
and dances.
They will be coming for a
