After many months and . Marge for their long hours

eleven hits and whipped the

gave Mainstreet two' runs in
the first but a triple by Gord
Mouar evened the score at 2 •
all. The Second inning saw
the Travellers take control as,
singles by Larry Broome,
Steve Southgate and Scott
King, along with Kevin Ben-
nett's triple scare 5 big runs
and a 7.2 lead. Mainstreet
got 1 back in the third on
Brian Nigh's single but the
. fourth saw Singles by Scott
King and. Bob Patrick push
two more across for the
Travellers and a 9-3 lead.

was the third, contest as the
Queens edged out the 'Turf
Club by a 5-2 .score. The Turf

opening inning on errors as.

out a hit. The lead held 11'ntil,
the fourth when the Queens;
took advantage of Turf errors
to score 3 runt On only one
hit , a double by Jerome'
Aubin, The Queens moved
up 4.2 in the fifth as Ross
Govier singled home a rUn.
The sixth saw Brian Dale and
Jack Price single home
another run as .the 'Queens
managed 5 runs on six hits
Off the offerings of Alex
Deivecio while the Turf Club
couldn't reach Jack Price as
they managed two runs on

league leading Teaehers take

pounded out eighteen hits for
thirteen runs and an easy
13-2 'victory. Doug Hilde-
brand led the winners with a
'triple. double and • single
while Kevin Henderson ,add-
ed a double and 2 singlesas
every Villager picked up at
least 1 hit. The Teachers
managed only seven hits off
Rick Woods and, only Don
Morton's double went for
extra bases.
This week's action will see
the teams priming up for the
Invitational • Tournament
coming up July 13, 14 and
15th with 10 teams entered.

The three of them are

by the Seaforth young people
this summer. Few events
have a fee.
